Just placed two cuttings into my drip system. On 24/7 at the moment, 1/4 nutrient strength (stopped using formulex after placing them in the system).
Used a Brita Filter to filter the water needed.
Using Europonics grow 2 part and a drop of superthrive per litre.
The plants seemed to be quite stunned for a while, but they have just started growing pretty quickly now. In the system for 3 days so far.

The left plant, the burn was aquired when it was rooting.

The right plant, the most healthy of the two. Seems to be growing quickly now.
There isn't really yellow lines all the way along my system, just the fluos refresh rate!

athis is what my setup looks like. Two boxes I got from B+Q, put one inside the other and drilled holes for drainage in it.
Put a water + an air pump inside the main box, filled with 20 litres of water+nutes+superthrive.
Cover the whole thing with the boxes lid covered in white/black plastic (can't put the lid on yet as the plants are still too small so just using shite/black sheeting).
Water it 5 times daily, and there you have it!
All powerered by 6 fluos, getting either an envirolight or bog standard hps for flowering.

And a picture taken yesterday of the lady on the right. Maybe I should start foliar feeding...

The beauty of a dripper is that you can switch them on, but have total control over how much feed the plants get, (short bursts so as not to "drench" the blocks)!
Looking good mate.
Good luck!

Cheers man,
How many feeds a day would you recommend? I'm on 5 short feeds at the moment and it seems to be keeping the rockwool adequately moist throughout the day. Do you reckon I could up that? Would it increase grow time?

The grow needs to be finished before the end of june. SO the plan is to wait one more week or two, and start flowering
Hopefully I'll get a nice bit of bud for the start of the summer

I put 21 pp cuttings into flower about 2 to 2.5 wks ago, they all went in at about 2.5" to 3" and the biggest is 15" tall now...................mad, mad, stretch.

That's mental!
Are they quite spindly? Mine have streched quite a bit, but no where near that much! How far away are your lights?
Have you tried PP before? It's an amazing smoke!

Not too spindly but not stocky either. Light was 16" but down to 12" now. Have the three mothers of cuttings in there too and they've been flowering 5.5wks now, they'll be done within the fortnight. Cuttings should be ready in about 6wks maybe, perhaps a bit under. Looking forward to this one.
Have to start getting next grow started under enviro..........decisions, decisions.

That's well impressive BushBandicoot! I've got the 400w HPS about 12'' away too although I'm slightly worried about overheating. I have a fan blowing at the top of the main cola the whole time, although I came back today after having had to shut the door and window for 7 hours, and my room was sweltering!
Good luck with the grow dude. Do you have any pics?
Peace

Jun 7 2004, 10:43 PM
Thanks, man. No pic's now 'cause I don't have a digi-cam, asked folks here roughly how much they would cost, hope to get one soon.
Want to take pic's of my outdoor grow too.
How big's your gro-room? My 400 does me 3'x3' in the attic but that's with good air intake and output.

Jun 8 2004, 11:27 AM
What size is the cupboard? Saw your pic's and I'd have thought by the looks of things that your cupboard would be roasting with a 400 in there!
Like the look of your system, though......

yeha man, I've opened the doors, got the fluos upright and a fan installed in the back of the cupboard and one blowing constantly around the top of the main cola. Still I'm getting some heat burns so may have to go get a more effecient fan, or move the whole installation into my room!
