What is the fastest flowering strain that y'all come across?
There is a new strain out called Lowryder. From seed to lungs in 8 weeks and you dont have to change the light cycle. It goes full grow under 18/6 lights.
How does that work?
Ive heard of certain strains (ruderalis) that flower automatically under any light cycle, but how?
I thought it was the absence of light that iniciated the production of hormones on the branches which causes flowering. Any light falling on these hormones in the 12 hour period destroys them completely.
So if these plants flower whatever the light cycle, how are the hormones produced?
I read at the Lycaeum that cannabis ruderalis is only very mildly psychoactive, is this true?
If this new strain can go from seed to chop in 8 weeks then surely the advantage of having the lights on for however long you want could make for some really huge plants and buds?
But will they have the same kick to them as your average strength indica/sat hybrid?

I'm afraid I cant help you on the Hos' & Why's but they work.
Do a search on here under Lowryder and have a look on OG they have a few posts there about the working of the plant.

Methinks, that you are thinking on the much hyped lowryder, an auto-flowering dwarf strain, much discussed on OG in strains and hybridisation.
And lowryder doesn't 'work' from what I have seen of the plant, worse disaster than ducksfoot.

I think you may be right my posts have been edited.
As for lowryder not working I have seen a few grow reports on different websites and they all have positive comments.

I think u got mixed up geez, this is the description of Wakeford:

indoor/ outdoor.
Wakeford is a recent hybrid bred for its name sake the plants were recently grown out in the valley and have a killer couchlock high this strain was produced to make a very strong medicine for very sick man with mean tollerence at that we suceeded we used 0g13b sk#1 x g13 x ubc chemo for this one she yeilds great in sea of green with huge ressin covered buds that are hard and heavy as rocks it takes a good 9 wks but is well worth the wait if you want couch lock with comercial potential this is the plant smooth hash flavour it did great out side this year finishing oct5
