TOKIN TARQUIN
hi everyone

my partner suffers from what the doctors diagnose as IBS (iritable bowel syndrome) and has suffered for a number of years no drugs she has ever been prescribed has had any long term effect-- usually works for a week
she also suffers from back muscle pain --- which has been attributed to her body adjusting to the stomach cramps--
i am just wondering if there is any strain i can grow which would benefit her
i have read that kalamist has been reported as good for menstrual problems but dont know about IBS also i am still flowering first grow and have read it is very difficult to grow kalamist
does anyone have any suggestions or suffer from similar problems and find a particular strain usefull to them
she also struggles to sleep a full night because of needing toilet etc so rarely sleeps for longer than 3hrs at a time
sorry if this is in the wrong place and sounds personal but any relief i could bring her would be highly appreciated
thankyou

can't be a lot of help with strains, but being the local health cures nut, there is a cure (yes, a cure) out there in the natural medicine world - get her to a good natural health clinic, outline the problems, and undergo a course of treatment with a traditional chinese acupuncturist, homoeopath or herbalist - each discipline has very effective and safe treatments which will undoubtedly rid her of pain, and eventually the problem itself! yinyang.gif
-just keep an open mind, I'm living proof that conventional medics don't have a clue about many ailments, just stick two fingers in the air at them, and toddle off and get better with nature's help! guitar.gif

is there a traditional chinese acupuncturist, homoeopath or herbalist treatment for all illness ? smoke.gif

pretty well - I've found a totally different mindset - the patient is a human being, a wonderful creation, that is treated with reverence and respect - not a collection of piping that is treated with plumbing techniques, or poisoned with toxic chemicals! Of all the disciplines, I know trad chinese acupuncture best, and even after 20 years, still find it amazing what they can accomplish,(if you're really interested, do a site search on "acupuncture" - I've rattled on about it ad nauseam.)
For the tummy problems, the last thing you need to do is to pour toxic chemicals into an already unbalanced system - it'll only make things worse - alternative therapies get to the root cause, and put it right - ibs can be simple food allergies/intolerances, and will probably require some dietary changes, and the taking of nutritional supplements - a small price to pay for the relief! whistling.gif
Last but not least, ibs tends to go with a certain tension - imho ganja is a wonderful safe calmer in most circumstances - certainly can't see it doing harm! 1eye.gif

Homoeopathy - curing by use of "similars".
In the 1780's a physician called Hahnemann discovered that if he used a remedy that mimicked the disease, it was curative when given as a medicine - a large dose of quinine produces malaria-like symptoms, a small dose is very helpful in those suffering from malaria - he then made a further discovery - the more dilute he made the remedy, the more efective it became - the theory of potentisation. He was phenomenally successful in treating cholera, a dreadful killer - he turned an 85% mortality rate into an 85% cure rate. He gained royal patronage, and there is a strong tradition of its use amongst royalty to this day (the Queen, Charles & co). I don't think most homoeopaths fully understand the mechanism by which it works, all I can say is that I've certainly felt profound effects from it, and have used it on animals with a very high success rate yinyang.gif

captin crohns
I suffer with crohns disease (bit like a really harsh version of IBS), and my best m8 has IBS. We smoke Jack Herer 4 it.

I smoke a lot of dope... not much works anymore so i've been on the same quest 4 time.

I use Jack Herer as my bench mark, it's the only thing that seems to work well. Super Skunk can be good if grown properly, I feel buzz after about 4 J's, (which is good 4 me.. i chain smoke em, 1.5 onze a week... more if I'm not trying to conserve cash.)

hope this helps pal.
