ive just started flowering and want to buy some more seeds to veg in veg room but as everyone else knows there is to many to choose from
because i only have a small room i can only do so many so do not really want to pay £60 for 10 seeds to only use a couple before buying more of a different variety which brings me to my point

theres a shop near me that splits packets of seeds and sells them in singles but i would be worried about getting what they claim they are
i was just wondering if the UK420 shop ever considered doing this
with maybe a set minimum of 10 seeds purchased
for arguements sake
serious seeds
2 ---ak47
2 ---bubblegum
2 ---chronic
2 --- kalimist
2 --- white russian total of ten seeds
and for the extra pissing about charge an extra 50p or something per seed for example a pack of 10 ak47 seeds at £50 would be 1 seed £ 5.50 so you get an extra £5 for the messing about and extra packaging per 10 seeds

not trying to tell you how do things merely just a suggestion and wondered what others thought

There are quite a few seed banks that do (mixed bags) The fdm 50/50 mix from here at the UK420 are well worth there fee of £15 for 20 Quality seeds "Blue Widow f2 (10%) Dutch Haze Skunk x C99 (10%) Shiva Shanti f2 (10%) Dutch Haze Skunk (10%) Double Dutch Haze Skunk (10%) Silver Pearl x Blue Widow (50%)" now thats a deal dude...........()

thats what im doing for my first grow
but im new so its hard to know which plant is which
where if you could pick your own you could buy the top ones like ak47 etc
just think it might be usefull to a few people with so many choices of seeds
i dont mind paying for seeds but if i brought say a pack of 10 of each from above list it would cost a fortune and once you start cloning you would have loads left over just sitting there

edited to say-- sorry fdm i didnt mean yours arent top seeds my first go germed 10/10 and everyone raves about them so well chuffed its just that always thinking i knew about weed ( until i thought about growing my own and found this site) im just curious to try the ones i had in the dam and have heard about before

I'm afraid we dont split breeders packs or sell single seeds

If you go back and have anoher look you will also see that all Serious Seeds are in packs of 15, not 10, always have been and always will be, so that kind of throws your maths out of the window

I would personaly steer well clear of anyone offering you seeds from split packs
Chances are you are being ripped off

I'll also guarantee that anything you grow from FDM will easily be better than any of those on your wishlist

Don't be taken in by designer labels

thanks for the reply m8 i just thought there might be a market for it for you when you hear of everyone struggling to pick a seed with so many good choices available didnt realise they were sold in packs of 15 but if i brought 15 seeds of one strain i wouldnt use all of them with so many vars available ( i like ak47 and kalimist because i had it in dam) cant wait for my first fdm grow though anything i grow myself will be better because its mine ( my creation)
as regards trust thats why i suggested you do it because you have a huge number of satisfied customers for honesty and great service and thats why i would only buy single seeds from your store and not anyone else

does anyone else think its a good idea or bad idea or know a way in how it could work
maybe a forum where you could have a seed exchange or something it would be based on trust of members swapping seeds that they claim they are but i for 1 have no intention of ripping anyone off with mystery seeds and i believe the majority of UK420 members would be the same after all we all just want some nice juicy bud
have UK420 as the middle man and who everyone would send there seeds to and charge a small fee for the job of redistributing
just ideas so everyone has more choice
what do you think

In theory it's a good idea, but the amount of fuckin about that Joolz would have to do would make it impracticle!

That said, why not get a couple of mates together and split the deal?

Maybe Tokin and BushDoctor would like to get it together and buy them between themselves?

i cant use mates because nobody knows im growing the idea about myself and BD splitting is good but that involves giving strangers your address ( no offence BD )i realise the messing about for joolz but if you had 3 parties that brought 3 packs of 15 seeds and they was split so each party had 5 seeds of each variety i would gladly pay an extra 5 or £10 for the service so using serious seeds as an example if you pay £50 for 15 seeds or paid say £60 for the splitting service instead you could potentialy have 3 different mums of different variety for £60 instead of paying £150 for all three packs and having loads of seeds left over so joolz gets £30 for the service ( ie 3 lots of £60 instead of 3 lots of £50)
and the customer saves £90 as well everyones a winner
you could even have a forum with a list of strains and only when enough people have put there name down to sell three full packs would the deal be done
so for example if you listed 10 different strains and i wanted 3 i would put my name on the appropiate lists and when 2 more people have put there names down for the same seeds the transaction could go ahead so it is like splitting the seeds as an after sale when the 3 packs have been sold already if that makes sense-- plus everyone trusts joolz
just some ideas so people can grow all these wonderfull vars that are about for a lot cheaper i dont want to annoy anyone but believe if this idea was developed it could benefit everybody concerned

Adventure Mix from Breeder Steve has a great selection of seeds and are good for finding a mother as well I found.

the idea itself is ok, but for me i`d want to buy a minimum of 10 seeds to find the strongest possible mother from the seeds, if i split a pack i`d be too worried incase all the best genetics were in the other half of the pack
i did exactley as RD mentioned on me 1st grow and split a pack of dp mazar and dp orangebud with a m8, i ended up with the strongest plant from both strains and have since given him clones of each to balance the books
we`ll be doing it again soon with some chronic and some blueberry seeds.

i also recently bought generals daughter(13 seeds from FDM), I kept all 13 for myself cos i want to see the differences in pheno`s, i`ll be keeping 2 mothers from gd, a lanky sat type and a wee indica hashplant type hopefully.

I think TT's idea is a good one, but may be pretty impractical in, erm, practice. How about having a "swapshop" forum where you can advertise leftover/unwanted seeds and ask for other strains in exchange? Even after only 3 grows, I've got tonnes of unwanted seeds that I'll never bother with and I'm sure most people are in the position same.

I don't think the question is over who has good seeds to sell, (after all the UK420 store has all of the popular dutch strains, with the bonus of the FDM strains to boot....so it don't get better than that)!

But the initial question is whether they can be bought one at a time, (individually like)!

For me, if they don't come in a breeder pack, then they can't be guaranteed to be what they say they are.

Not even worth risking 50p from where I'm sitting, (50p is not a lot, but the 2-odd months it takes to find you have a "duffer" is just not worth the hassle)!

again i agree 100%, the moneys isnt huge for seeds, but the 4 months it takes to finish from seed to harvest is more time than i`d be prepared to spend finding out that they arent what i bought/expected!!

i agree seeds arent expensive when you realise how much bud you get from them when grown but then to have say £100 worth of seeds just sitting there because my GR is full for next 3 months is £100 i could use for other things ( especially at the moment having to buy weed until first grow finishes) it just means that i will be limited to trying 1 strain at a time when all these great tastes are available
also as regards to trust the pack i brought was a breeder pack in one of them resealable weed bags-- so any shop could just take them out and replace with bagweed seed anyway -- its only the fact everyone trusts joolz that i suggested it-- i believe that way everyone could be confident of getting the seeds that they ordered- not seeds off of some greed inspired shopkeeper
as for seed quality im to new to this to have an opinion and have only used serious seeds as an example i dont think joolz would sell any crap in the shop hence no nirvana beans in uk420 store

I like fdm seeds, they seem to grow very quickly. The only others ive grown have been bagseed and nirvana so quality does make a diference.
