hi guys, my plants have been growing now for 3 weeks, i had a few problems with
overfeed, yellow leaves etc

now what i need to know is how long do i grow the plants on 18..on and 4 off

also this is my stats for my grow room are they correct

temperture 26 degrees
ph 6.0
c/f 1.5
humidity 45

now my c/f rose to at on stage to 1.9 i have reduced by diluting the water to 1.5

now sorry no pics,
now i am growing seven plants, 4 are about 12 inches the other 3 are about 7inches

with the light about 2 foot away, is this the way forward, or am i compleatlly doing it all wrong.

what i need to know is also about the feed do i feed them once a week or fortnightly or what
i was worried when the c/f rose to 19, as a mate said to me you will kill them

with the c/f constantly around 15 do i still need to feed them..????

please please help......

Hi Karriej

You seem to have things pretty much under control. Your cf should never go above 2, so letting it drift to 1.9 shouldn't cause any significant problems, maybe a bit of over feeding when they are so young.

A for a feeding regime, you need to drain your tank and refill it with a freshly made batch of nutes every 1-2 weeks, this replaces stale water with fresh oxygenated water and stops loads of salts building up in the tank (these also effect your cf, so although your cf is in the right range it might not have all the required elements as the plants use them up and replace them with there own by products). Giving them fresh nutes and water every week/fortnight sort this out, rather then constantly topping up the tank.

You need to put your plants into 12/12 light when they reach maturity for the best results. At the minute all your leaves will be appearing in pairs one each side of the stem, when they reach maturity you get single leaves alternating up the stem/branches, one leaf one side then a few centimeters up another leaf on the other side. Usually at about 4-6 weeks, well closer to 6 most of the time. You can flower early but your yeild will suffer.

Hope this help, good luck mate

6 weeks sounds good, you will be able to tell, the alternating leaves are quite noticable compared to the pairs, they can grow quite tall very quickly. If you are worried they are getting out of hand, flower them at about 1/2 - 2/3 of the total headroom you have(don't forget you still need room for the light as well wink.gif )

Nute strength should be around 1.8 for a mature plant, most people use half that for seedlings, then gradually up the dose as they get older. It's trial and error for the most part, each strain is different and some can take stronger feeds than others, if you are over feeding they will soon let you know, then you will know not to go above that level again.

Pump speed should be set at around 1 pint per minute, not a trickle and not a raging torrent, you should have a steep enough angle on the tray to stop any pooling of water as well.

1 1/2 feet is fine for the light, general rule is if you can hold your hand under the light for a couple of mins the plants should be fine.

oh and welcome to UK420, it really is the best grow site on the web. Soon you will never have to go to a dealer again, and be smoking better quality weed as well. toot.gif
