Right, this is a real newbie post.  If the answers are already here – or on another site - please just point me in the right direction.

I'm looking to grow for the first time!  I’m going for outdoor and have pretty much chosen Durban Poison, partly because it seems so popular here.

Am I right in thinking seeds should be planted in late April?  If not when?  What kind of soil is best?  How much sunlight do they need?  And how much water?

I’d also be very grateful to know if there’s anything else I should consider.

Thanks.

Thanks, I will do. Seeds are on order and should be with us shortly.  Fingers crossed for a good green summer.

Hey just a neewbie to this site got recommended by a friend, I'm looking to do some outdoor growing next year when scotland allows it!

How long should i leave plants to veg for before putting them outside, just so they wont all die on me?

Cheers.

Youve somehow managed to post your question in a thread that died in 2002! rofl.gif

In answer to you Q its possible to grow your seeds entirley outdoors but you may loose a few pinch.gif If you can start them indoors you should have a higher success rate. Start them off a month before the last frosts in your area.
