Have been growing indoors under lights

Hi I am using Advanced Nutrients Sensi 2 pack Bloom with AN Big Bud and Bud Blood currently used a Gibberelic Acid foliar spray by No Mercy first time I used so dont how good it is first time Ive used An and they seem to do pretty well see pics
Vlad (the impala)
are you growing the plants just for seed? - Giberellic acid rang some warning bells, so I googled............
"DO NOT CONSUME bud from the plant treated with giberellic acid nor from any plant pollinated by such a plant. Giberellic acid washes off easily, but is toxic if smoked or eaten. Always wear gloves and eye protection as well as any other protective gear necessary to prevent exposure to giberellic acid. After using giberellic acid, do not reenter the area for 72 hours without proper safety gear." 34.gif
My reading is that this dreadful stuff should only ever be used with extreme caution as part of breeding/seed production - you 34.gif should NEVER smoke the results of any plant treated with it.................... cry.gif
Vlad (the impala)
I am totallly horrified! - after digging around on the net, I found the company website - they are selling this dangerous product, with a recommendation to use it on flowering plants...............no mention of the dire effects of consuming a plant treated with it, just a little "disclaimer".............."No Mercy Supply assumes no responsibility for possible side effects due to the complex hormonal activity of this stimulator." unsure.gif unsure.gif unsure.gif
From where I'm sitting that is tantamount to misrepresenting a dangerous chemical in the interests of making a fast buck from the gullible pooh.gif
eski
i use GH. I thought it was cheaper than Canna. I guess it is if you eliminate one of the bottles and just use the bloom and micro sol. as in the lucas formula 8- 16 ml per gallon during flowering.

Was interested by your posts re Gibberellic Acid, Vlad. Done a bit of looking myself, not found any more details re health implications, but I did find this :

QUOTE
Gibberellic acid promotes male flowers in female plants prior to flowering. I don't think it has this effect during flowering. However, female flowers sprayed with GA will be lanky and loose rather than tight because GA promotes stem stretching. It should not be used during the normal female bud cycle. I wouldn't use a product that promotes GA as a flower promoter for marijuana.

That's direct from Ed Rosenthal. IMHO seems like this is just another of the philosophers stones that nute companies keep digging up and banging out, at best a waste of money & at worst downright dangerous. I'll keep digging if I don't get sidetracked & see if I can find owt else.
ice-o-lator
to be honest i have used several brand name nutes such as canna gh ionic and bio bizz and have found that as long as you keep a beedy eye on ph and ec any nutes will be good all are very good products all good quality
people seem to worry about what brand to go for instead of looking at it in a more scientific approach
canna aqua is excellent though spliff.gif

Grew with Canna in coco for some years. Great product in that medium. Also know maybe a dozen other people who swear by it in coco.

However some how I drifted to Dutchmaster which i now love. Use their whole range of products (except superbud, which people did not like the final product). I get a really distinct green colour in my growth which pressess my buttons. All subjective though and after some study on the situation have found myself often to be full of shit on various issues. Make of it what you will.

[B][FONT=Impact]Why am I missing the Cellmax in the line of nutrient labels here.  It is being used by quite soome Grower's in the UK and they love it more than others.

Dutch Master makes us laugh being an Astralian guy with hormones in his liquids.....

Hesi havin huge fluctuations in rockwool ans NFT systems....

I just hope that you are willing to try Cellmax 4 a change...

Peace out!

Have used cellmax.....they probably should have been on the list but....................

"Dutch Master makes us laugh being an Astralian guy with hormones in his liquids.....

Hesi havin huge fluctuations in rockwool ans NFT systems...."

Please explain your view on Dutch master a little...............these are crucial issues.........I use them (though not superbud) and have found them to be more than satisfactory...

Thanks

Tee Hee.....thanks mate....its an upgrade for me to be only a year behind...

I actually sent him a p.m earlier. So if he is around I'm gonna prod him gently with a stick and see if i can get feedback. Even with their extreme bias nute manufacturers must be the most informed in that specific thing. I am hoping to get one or two to comment on why their particular product kick's ass and why the other guy's is crap.

i am expecting to get little from it but you never know....

Ionic Hard water formulation Grow and bloom guitar.gif used it in dirt, coco, bubbler.

Easy everytime 13.gif all i ever did is just pour what i thought was right in the nice FLAT CAP biggrin.gif and chucked it in, .. good on the Ph swings too

I tried canna 34.gif but that was my fault !!

Bit late but hey stoned.gif unsure.gif
Ambling_Madly
Used to use Ionic's.

Then was converted to Vitalink. Grow, Bloom & Buddy. PH stays stable, plants stay healthy, better results. smoke.gif

I also add Oxy-plus and superthrive.
rollitupansmokeit
i started with the power gro,the free shit u get wen buying hydro units, the minute i put me babies in the tank tho i had trouble so i gone and invested in the ionic veg n' bloom stuff. cant rely add much to how good they are but i can say that its pulled my babes back from a disaster and there all looking good again.

Canna for hydro, supplemented with Advanced Nutrients B52
Noticed Earth Juice is v.unpopular. Why's that? Used to love it for organics, but local shop can't get no more.
Any 1 no where 2 get sum? Like BioBizz atm 4 coco. Advanced Nutrients Pirahna also.
Any1 used Pure Blend/Pure Blend Pro?
oldsmoker
canna substra, bcuzz bloom, canna pk13 14, GH ripen works for me ph34r.gif
fitduck
yeah i used GH Ripen too also missing link and algaemix to my aforementioned list
Farmacy
I'm going to abstain....Used canna for last grow but bought in some Biobizz for next grow, and I have a feeling that will become the nute in my garden judging by results on this board. For the sake of my body and the planet!
Topo
For the new grow I'm gona try a brand named Maxicrop, on the bottle it says made from seaweed extracts. I'm wanting to try an organic grow. See what the results will be.

So dutch masters get the thumbsup.gif from SB! smile.gif

I've written this poll and realised i've not included the one i've been thinking of trying out, HESI, if anyone has any experience with this it'd be great.

DOPEMAN
I like the bio canna range i use bio vega for vegging and bioflores for flowering i also like to use bat guano and tripple f as my super boost works great and outside plant has reached a whooping eight and a half foot tall and its only been flowering about three weeks now . but i think there are a multitude of great feeds out there and we would all like to think we are usein the best but rarely we are i say keep it %100 biological and you cant go far wrong.

Trust all is well,

Just wandering what nutes are being used by the majority on here, and to what degree of success, any feedback would be great. Also any additives used.

This isn't exclusive to the Hydro boys, would also like you muck lovers to have a say aswell! wink.gif

Take it Easy,

Well i think most regulars on this forum know what i use these days.

But back in my hydro days i swore by General Hydroponics, i loved the 3 part make up of it, and the taste weed grown with it had! you can tailor it to whatever needs, fantastic in run to waste systems, not so simple in recirculating systems i found the PH was all over the place after 3 or 4 days in the rez and that pissed me off, but that was my fave for taste!

For massive buds, that i did not want to smoke or anybody else infact, stable as hell but minging taste inducing, was Power Grow, back then was the one for (i dont care) commercial pot, taste left everything to be desired, awfull to say the least! do they still sell that shit with NFT tables ?

I also spent a small fortune on all the diffrent "organic" additives that were about at the time, such as O.G.P, Nitrozime,Earth Catalist and such, i must admit, i never did a single hydro grow the same not even once, cos there was allways new nutes coming out, and additives that my local grow shop swore was the best new thing!

But for taste and quality GH was my number 1, as far as hydro nutes went!
I know a lot lot more hydro nutes have been tried and tested since those days, but GH was my nute of choice back in them days yinyang.gif

Bom!

Wow, looks like everyone has thier own fave juices. I have noticed that no one seems to use my choice which is Ecolizer (dutch made.)I love the fact that the base nutrient is bio mineral and the additives are all 100% biological and extremely concentrated(cost effective) and easy peasy to use.I must say my yield and quality has never been so good as it is now.Any other Ecolizer users out there?
thebigbiffta
hydrotops more than does the trick in pebbles and you dont have to use a lot,the boost is only 5ml per 10ltr

GOT to BE Mother Earth Organic bloom guitar.gif had fantabulous results every time
J-bo
General Hydroponics is the three part for me in my rockwool run-to-waste garden. gossip.gif I had great sucess with Canna while I was in the UK with an NFT system. guitar.gif and Ionic did well also, for that one passive hydro grow at the very start... fullmop.gif
fitduck
Recently I have used Atami Organics for vegging and found it a very good nutrient.

I am currently adding Sweet Leaf, an organic flavour and aroma enhancer, to my feed to see if it does indeed produce sweeter buds.

And I am also thinking of giving Ozi Magic a go at some point before long. Anyone else used this?

Am currently flowering with Mother Earth Super Tea, another organic fert, which I also think is ok, though I have not done a full flowering with it yet.

I don't know why you would not have Advance Nutrients on that polling list. My choice is A.N. All the way.

Ive Used Hesi For All My Grows Mostly In Soil But The Last Grow Was Hydro(The Full Hesi Range From Clon'in Nute To Flower'in Bloom). I Went By There Dosages Stated On The Label & Neally Wiped Out All My Plants(Amsterdam Flame 3 Off Them) Managed To Get Them Sorted & The End Result Was Ok. Id Recommend That You Give The Plants A Third Of The Dosage & Work Your Way Up To Half The Recommended Dosage.........Cos That Nute Burns A Right Little Fooker......... 13.gif

Canna from the start, aqua to begin with, with rhizotonic, cannazym and pk 13/14,uesd that for just over a year,Now im using the canna cogr range with the same additives as above, but with b-cuzz coco boost and bloom boost, same good results from the cogr but a slightly better taste,Just read the labels and keep an eye on the e.c,I use pure rain water to feed all my plants and canna's food does not need any ph down to bring it down to ph 6 and it stays faily constant all the way, when it starts to drop i just flush and empty/refill tank with fresh solution spliff.gif

It's gotta be ten years since I used Earth Juice. Back then it was a hassle, may=be they've sorted it out now. I found I'd have to make my food up a week in advance, and leave it to stand, so the pH could coem up from about 4 to 5.5ish. AND IT STUNK!!

Since then I've been using non organic hydro nutrients, with organic additives to round it all out. DOn't want to put you off, but look into it first before starting a whole season on it.
