Hello,

do any experts have the real answer

I was wondering how often bulbs should be replaced?

Thanks

Hi m8

I think the 'normal' lifetime is about 15,000 hours of continuous (spelling?) use , in reality about 3 yrs solid of 12/12 . Check the bulb manufacturer's website for the exact specs for that particular bulb .

If I'm wrong , sure someone will put me right

Hopefully Soon

Thanks,

I had a grow shop tell me it should be changed every grow 'for best results'.

Hopefully soon - are you growing yet?

If not, what is limiting you?

I suffered for years, unable to grow but love the hobby guitar.gif

All the MH bulbs Ive used, need to be replaced every 12-14 months. My HPS bulbs last a bit longer as they are not on as much, but I still change every 12 months or so. You won`t notice the reduced light output, but the plants will.
