Just a quick reminder plz anyone. Ive got a few grows under my belt using different methods and my conclusion is that nft is my method of choice, but it,s bin quite a while since my last nft grow and can,t remember if it,s best to leave the paper wrapping on the rockwool cubes or take it off. In the past i,ve done both but can,t recall which is the best way,Im leaning towards leaving it on so the roots grow out the bottom and don,t become exposed to light but im not 100%. Can ppl give me there views or sum1 who knows definitively help me out. Thanks in advance and good luck to everyone whose got a crop on the go. PEACE

I find unwrapped works best for me, and always have...

The wrapping is there for a reason, to keep the cube together. Why would you take it off? theres no benifits whatsoever. Use your loaf.

Pluss it encourages the roots to grow downwards!

yeah i use nft too
taking off the wrapper is removing the cubes support
the cube will eventualy fall apart and you will get roots coming out the sides sometimes,
leave it on mate

I've tried both once and noticed no difference.
So now, I just leave them on.

As said man.wrapping holds the cube together so it does not collapse.

I would definitely leave them on m8........its not just about holding the cube together as mine have never fallen apart with or without the paper but it does encourage your roots to head south rather than out of the side of the cubes.

Leaving them on is to encourage a nice solid base.
