Full Version: Clones - When To Slip Out Of The Propo

Howdy all,

I skimmed off 4 clones about 2-3 weeks ago before slipping my ladies under the orange glow.

Popped them into root riots, in a non-heated propo tray and in the last few days they have all shown some roots out the sides of the wee cubes 13.gif

So thinking all was grand, I slid then into some pre-prepared 4" Grodans, took them out of the propo and introduced them to a 250w CFL at around 6" - they no liked it and within 2 hours wilted. I quickly misted them and snagged them back into the safety of the propo, where they recovered quickly.

They are still in the large cubes, in the propo - what is the best way to tell when these little ladies are ready to come out? IMO there are plenty of nutes in the 4" grodans to keep them going for a while, but I no wanna let them think that life is at 99% humidity!

Peace out

well I find the best practice is to train them to "fresh air"

Leave them with the lid on and no holes open for at least 4 days after taking cuts. Then open one of the slits for a few days and then open another a few days later.

This way they should be rooting and getting used to fresh air in small amounts. Once rooted I usually put something under one of the edges of the lid to wedge it open and allow air all the time. Once you have some nice roots then you can pretty much do away with the lid.

In your situation now, if they are rooted. I would wedge open the lid a bit and they will be cool in a day or so

Stay cool
