i'm doing a grow with a friend in a 2.4 x 1.2 tent with 6inch fan and filter the problem is i can't vent the house outside some one told me about vapour traps that use silica gel, i found tumble dryer boxs but they dont use gel and are only in 4 inch does any one have a solution to my problem because it causeing the room that the tents in to get damp
please help we have a dehumidifyer in the room that the tents in but it's not doing the job i want to make a hole in the wall but my friend wont let me

any suggestions would be much appreicated

cant you vent into the loft mate?

could you make your own? box with hole big enough to take the duct,and a suitable outlet hole fill the box with desiccant and make the box as airtight as possible.

never really heard of these vapor traps but if they only do 4"ers can you not get two and use a y fitting and some reducers to split the airflow into two

it's in a down stairs flat not the best place i know



looked at this desiccant sound alot better than silica gel what would be a suitable outlet hole though and what would be best to make the box out of and what size



the vapour traps i've been shown are for tumble dryers my mate in the grow shop described them but he so busy he forgets to bring one in for me to see and moneys reallly tight at the moment, i've never had this problem as i've done it in house upstairs and garages my mate does now much about growing and i'm trying to teach him but he ain't the sharpest knife in the draw i could get valves and an barrel to do his job and it would be alot cheaper and easier it's just i've got a new baby so my place is a no go and social services are involved cos on my partners past and i havevn't been the most law abiding person in the past and i'm on a fucking token metre my old house was quarterly and i just paid it no probs

you could use a cooltube, then draw the air thru a carbon filter from the room the tent is in into another part of the flat, ( this will make good use of the heat during winter, then use a 4" fan to extract from the room into 2 - 4 tumble dryer boxes, i think you may still have to run the dehumifier i reckon, but not as much.
Just my thoughts on something im thing about doing myself, be great to see what works out best for you.
