Buddly (thanks for the PM btw) has used it apparently with good results so I recently bought a couple of bags of their MP with added JI which I'll be using for potting up early next week. Fingers crossed.

I used it for sunflowers this year and they loved it (with some added fish blood and bone, the greedy feckers).

try an get the hanging basket stuff,it has oasis chunk's in it .I think it kicks ass! The multi is also good but the hanging basket is a ripper.

We generally use Bulrush for containers as it is the brand that our local farm shop sells. This week my OH opened a new bag to finish planting pansies and we were horrified to see what look like a cross between bulb fibre and the so called "soil conditioner" sold by our recycling centre. My OH took a sample back to the shop and we were advised that this was the new "tried and tested" formula. We shall see but it certainly would not be any good for seed planting as it really looks like 2 inch long strands of soft wood.

this year i started to recycle all my old compost adding only rock dust, i have a composting bag, i think it holds 100ltre, i'm on my first grow with it now, they are only 4 weeks into veg, growing nice and healthy at a decent rate, good free compost for life.

First impressions of the FG MP+JI are good - looks and smells nice, no woody bits, no huge lumps of idunno, quite light and fluffy. As C'est la vie said though it does get a bit dusty when dry. Got a few cuttings in root riot cubes gone into it in their first pots and they seem happy, some slightly older cuts have just gone into 1l pots of it, plus a few older plants in 6l pots which have just gone into the flower box. No complaints so far.

Bulrush changed their formula to bring them up to date with european legislation regarding percentages of peat in compost They did change to a high coir husk content which after many complaints I think they have now refined this a bit more but its still not as good as their original formula im afraid. Hope that helps a bit
