looking for a nice haze hybrid, i've enjoyed smoking nlhaze nl5xhaze, silver, super silver, amnesia haze, og x haze and numerous others in amsterdam, they all taste pretty damn similar dutch haze flavour, i have no doubt i would get more variety growing something like ot1s haze, but i haven't got the space or patience for them right now much as i would love to. i have been looking at sensi's silver haze and nl5xhaze, mr nice SSH, soma amnesia haze. i enjoyed the SSH i smoked in the greenhouse, but i have no intention to line arjans pockets further by buying his strains, especially when mr. nice sells what i assume will be the original SSH. does anybody have any particular recommendations? flavour wise silver haze is my favourite and its what i head to abraxas for every time i go to amsterdam before anywhere else, become a kind of tradition, but it could all be down to the pheno they are growing, i have wanted to do nl5xhaze for years, but i fear i may end up with a pheno that may never finish and may take over my room from what i've read, is this a common occurence or is it quite stable and uniform now, i'm looking for a relatively quick finisher, hopefully around the 10 week mark and not much longer with decent yield, cheers

Cant really recommend to many as i've only tried Senegal Haze, but that was lush

long flowering though 20+ weeks.
You could look at some quick flowering hybrids, like Bangi Haze, Titans Haze.. But af far as im aware more proper hazey lines take 14weeks+. I think the Bangi can be done in 9-11weeks iirc.. Dubi has some great genetics.
eta: OT Haze got a pack myself.. will defently be trying them
SSH and NL5xH, i would love to try. I think SSH/Amnesia are the same. If you have the pactience to do these then i would say take the oppertunity

Bangi is a lovely smoke, though it's not crazy strong like a nice SSH or Nl5xhaze... really nice flavour and high though.
My favourite to smoke is Silver Haze really.

grown bangi haze before, really enjoyed it, great smoke, but despite its name its not hazey in flavour imo, its a nepalese and congolese cross, think it may have had SSH chucked in at some point, but in terms of flavour, pleasant though it is its not what i'm looking for, i'm looking for ones actually crossed with haze rather than being named haze because of a high sativa percentage, its that flavour of amsterdam i always miss that i'm aiming for, SSH has that flavour and is only 50% haze, so hopefully should be done somewhere near my 10 week target, and its those kind of hybrids i'm looking for, just don't know which will offer the best yield and flowering time

yeah, silver haze is my favourite to smoke too, just have no idea what it is like to grow, have you ever had the pleasure of growing it eri? cheers

No, sorry. A friend of mine has and I believe he said it had a tendancy to hermie... not sure where his came from though.

Grew out some "haze" from Sativa Seedbank once. Everyone who smoked it loved it, it was top notch, easy to grow, cold and mould resistant and will grow in near artic conditions
One pheno type was superb, no I didn't clone it

Grew like a rocket and couldnt see the bud through the insane crystal levels.
More trippy than SSH but less of a body feeling, very up high but less so than Arjans Haze (which if I am honest didnt do it for me).
It wasn't a pure Haze which I have also grown, leaves a tad wide so it's a hybrid of some kind.

i think silver haze is what i want ideally, could just do with knowing a little more about it, looking at some posts from bish 5 years ago,
http://www.uk420.com/boards/index.php?show...mp;#entry242680. dunno if this is the friend eri speaks of, i certainly hope so, because if not then so far 100% of the knowledge i have from growers on it says its likely to hermie, though he does estimate it finishing in 65-70 days which sits very nicely with my 10 week flower target

Maybe just grow SSH? It's a great smoke.

the ssh is certainly an option, i figure with a 3 way cross i am less likely to find the flavour i want from the limited amount of seeds i can pop, i'm guessing in silver haze, a 2 way cross its more likely to find what i'm looking for, or is a haze mother so dominant the flavour usually is carried through, with the exception of jack herer the vast majority of strains i have had with haze in taste very similar

BomShiva is the grower I referred to, also in that thread

I can't remember if it was the SH, SSH or both that tended to hermie.. I'll ask him though and report back.
davelister

nice one
edit: did just notice his sh was probably from '88 stock, up to '94, there is a possibility this hermieing trait has been bred out, hopefully none of the flavour and effect went with it

SSSDH by Reservoir Seeds (Super Silver Sour Diesel Haze). Best haze I've smoked since original SSH back in 97ish, by a mile. Tastiest with a proper melt your face off buzz. Just unbeatable these days imho.
Release of the 'OJD' SSSDH by Connoisseur Genetics is the latest version released. They specialise in haze crosses:
- Titanium Haze (Titan's Haze x G13 Haze (soma cut))
- Hazey Jones (Casey Jones x G13 Haze (soma cut))
and a few more I can't remember.
GN
e2a: Amnesia Haze x G13 Haze is also a great smoke...I think it's Dampkring/Kiwi.

is there a website for them, had a bit of a brief look, spam have none, and i am not familiar with any of the other wesbites, anywhere you can recommend to get a good read/purchase them from? you can PM me if necessary, dunno how stringent the spam rules are
eri

Attitude is an affiliate of UK420 now. I've used them, they're good

e2a :- haven't checked if they stock that strain though!

Nov 13 2009, 03:27 PM
no section for reservoir seeds, is it rezdog? is there anywhere else you can think of, spam has a section but no stock, seems like a slightly elusive strain if you don't know where to look

reservoir wonderhaze is ssh x williams wonder, just growing some out looks nice. ojd's SSSDH, just got some seeds of those. NL5 x Haze used to be the shit, but havent seen any about in ages. Skunkmans original haze x skunk is good stuff too. There's tons to choose from.

i guess in the 15 subsequent years its something they should have bred out, at the moment its the only thing putting me off it, a lot of the other strains sound enticing, but silver haze is my favourite smoke thus far from experience

I've not grow a Haze yet unfortunately, I hope to in 2010 though! So I'll be on this quest soon!
I was wondering if you had come accross Sarnie Seeds "Jack Hammer F2"?
Sounds like it could be great smoke to me, looks lush as well! Jack Herer crossed with Amnesia Haze

Just bought some Cheese x Haze from Kiwi (Dampkring classic). Won't be seeing the results for a few months yet though. Ugorg Smile and Little Hands (some hazes in here hopefully) are next in the q.

Sounds a lovely cross mate! Cheese crossed with the NL5 Haze male!

Are they still doing it in the coffee shop? I'm hoping to get my self over again at the begging of next year!
I've just grown Smile, it was a nice smoke! Only a envirolie grow though, so wasn't the best setup! I've mothered the 7 week pheno and will be using as clone to flower under hps/halide very soon.
I've also got a pack of the "little hands" and I'm hoping I get that hazeXindica cross as well. I've been wondering today if it's crossed with Oldtimer Haze and if the Indica part is the same parent as has used in the Smile cross. Interesting, I can't wait to get these beans popped! Gonna pop them in the morning!

The blurb on the back says three phenos are present: cheese, skunk 1 and mako haze. 10 reg for £45. The guy also gave me 5 Daddys Girl seeds but they don't sound great. The ugorg seeds are the most promising for me.
Overall the expo was worth a fiver if you live nearby.

have you ever tried big buddha's haze?
I love amnesia haze, its one of the strongest smokes ive ever had and it really does give you amnesia.
But at £120 for ten seed's its a bit pricy for me, so i might go with buddha's haze but i dont know anyone who's smoked or grown it.

I have 2 sensi silver haze at week 10 right this minute
Both have started with the stealth nana shit, it is most probably stress with the cold temps and that but none of my other strains have done it.
