OK,

I have read and read so many pages about this my mind is still not clear.

Never done it before, in fact last year gave away my trimmings, so this year I have decided to have a go at some hash, I do miss rolling a joint with a sticky sausage inside.

So the plan is.....

I've got this.............

My equipment is the above tool, 2 wine fermenting bins and a muslim cloth, our home wine kit.lol.gif

A couple of carrier bags with roughly trimmed bud, mainly air buds and slightly mouldy top buds that have been frozen the day they were cut.

If it's a better idea I have a cordless drill and could add any attachment, I did read someone used a wooden spoon ?

So, I intend to make a "mush" of cold water, ice and frozen trim with the hand blender and then pass through the muslin cloth, let it settle and siphon off the water and leave to dry. Do I need to repeat this process ?

Then wrap it in wet paper and pop into a low oven for 20 mins.

Would love some decent input as I have another plant still growing that I think will only be good for hash.

Ah gumby, my favourite!

You have the method pretty much right, if it's some nice squidge you're after though I would leave it to half dry and then roll it with your hands. I'm making some tomorrow myself, may post pics if I remember.

Good luck dude

Is there much of a difference when using frozen trim/bud compared to freshly chopped stuff ?

I have a big plant in the garden, if I don't get this process right I'm going to waste a load of growing goodness........

Thats wot i used in the pic, trim ice and water give it a good doing with your blender strain off and sqeeze all the trim leave to settle siphene off but leave the bottom so you dont disturb then pour the rest in to clear jugs or glass and put in to the fridge and let settle for a while then you will see it all at the bottom siphene off again but leave the bottom then pour through coffee filters.

Cheers Old T,

Just put another tray in the freezer, we got one of those eco friendly low ice jobbys....it's fucking useless, no ice tray.......have to do them in batches and put them in bags, still, that's progress for you.

I do mine with a wooden spoon mate, proper ramshackle affair rofl.gif I pour through tights and then leave the bucket to settle for 24 hrs then start skimming off the water. Re-settle and keep skimming, then when down to a little water I use a pippette to draw off the water. Last bit goes in the fan oven at 50C for 30mins to an hour, till evaporation is complete. Then the remaining resin is scraped together, a proper paupers method but worked a treat for me wink.gif

I have done runs once then re-froze, run the same material again and got more hash off it, I think it was down to me not squeezing out the leaf good enough. Maybe the fact I was using a wooden spoon as well.
justonemore
Thanks mate,

I've now squeezed all the water out of the bag and will leave it to settle over night, then siphon the water off the top, bit hard to judge what's going on as I can't see throught the bucket..lol.gif

Not a bump just a test, my last post went odd with a message I didn't note

OK,

I'll keep it brief, left it to settle for 24 Hrs, just looks like a green soup to me.

Syphoned off the stuff as carefull as I could on top, to leave a bowl of green soup, it all looked the same to me sad.gif

Put some ice cubes in the bowl it's now resting...........
