hi , need to put in a couple of pasive intakes into my GR got a 600w light running and a 125mm ruck fan and carbon filter, going to put a couple of 6" clip on fans in there as well, oh and i will be putting in a homemade fan controller and thermostat. Just not sure how many, where to, and how big to do the pasives.. anybody got the same sort of set-up and can advice , please

was thinking of bringing them through my vegging area as i got a bit of room in there for a heater if i need it cause i am dragging in air from a well vented loft.

one in each side and one at the back. so 3 vents.

running a 600 I would say make them 12 inches long and 6 inches high.

7 times the area of your extract..... so approx 137 square inches. or 5 inches x 26 inches, or whatever other combination you want to produce a 137 square inch intake. also as low as possible, of course

ok.. thanks for the replys guys.. do you think it a good idea to pull air from the loft then through my vegging area rather then strait form the loft??
cheers,,

depends how much vegetation is gonna be in there, if you're just keeping a small bonzai mum then it might be ok, if you're vegging a whole grows worth of plants for your next round, then the air will be way to humid and it'll just be a mould fest in your flower room
