I am looking for a new filter and not really worried about cost, just want to it to really work. As it stands, I have two tents - DR80 and a DR240 - the 240 is fine but it has not done one crop yet so no worries there.
The DR80 has just been cropped and for the past few weeks the smell has really worried me so need to get a new one - surprised the one in there stopped working after 1 3/4 crops, so looking for a decent one that will go through a couple of crops as well
Cheers

You could refill them, its pretty easy and Greens sell the carbon in tubs, probably enough to to do 2 in a tub but it depends on your filter size have a look

Personally I'd get a new Rhino Pro from Greens or equivalent. They have 2 year guarantees on them - I've got a Phat Filter (old Rhino) about 18 months in and no smells at all. I plan on replacing it in the spring.
Odor control gets SOOO many people busted that it's just not worth cutting corners on imo. They're not madly expensive either and worth it for the peace of mind.

I didnt bother with the clips - I had a mixed pack of Bungees from a good DIY store
Replace hxxp with http which were only a fiver, and used those for all my Filters and fans. Bungees rule!!!!!!!
I find mountain air excellent filters, certainly worth the money

Thanks for the tip. I have been doing some research and I have come up with a carbon supplier that will do 25KG bags. The question I have is what is the best type. 1) Activated carbon form coal? 2) activated carbon from coconut shell?
Anyone clued up as to the difference?

Another word of praise for Mountain Aire filters. Mine is a 10 inch (by about a meter) on an 8 inch fan. It's lasted over two years so far and I run it pretty much continuously regardless if I have a crop in or not.
