I love you man i vas wondering for i year now about corect size, i usually took 20L off compost and fill pots to see what size it is aproximaly ....of to measure cm/size of mine ,thanks yahoo.gif

Am confused now about size off my pots ,i took 3 off those and 20L bag off compost ,i filled 3 off them full to top.I was under impresion they are 6.5L pots doh.gif

and up on post it states

I hope they are 11L if they are i dont need to pot up anymore,are you sure? unsure.gif

Your pots look like they have a large taper, more cone shaped, so your probably right. ph34r.gif

Tip for working out volume of round pot.

1) measure the diameter of the pot at the top and the bottom and take the average of the two.

E.g. 26cm wide at top, 16cm at bottom - average is 26+16/2=21cm
Also measure the height - eg. 20cm

2) Then use the formula for volume of a cyclinder using the average diameter figure.

This is HPIR2 where H is the height of the pot and R is the average radius (1/2 the diameter) and PI is 3.14

So for the example pot the volume would be 20x3.14x10.5x10.5 = 6923.7 cm3

i.e just under 7 litres.......
