I'm not sure what your asking, how to feed? Have we burned our outdoor patch??? Are bigger plants harder to 'nuteburn'?????

It's not hydroponics dude, just soil and water. Some folks add some food but good soil is the trick. Organic nutrients like biobizz grow/bloom, and correct measures are what some do. Some just leave it to ol mother nature. I personally have a small pump and very long garden hose. I'd recommend avoiding any chemical ferts for outdoor growing.Dig in some guano/fbb/chicken pellets a few weeks before planting out. Don't need to worry about nute burns.

1 cup of dry mix fert (seaweed, lime, blood, fish, bone etc) per cubic foot of soil is my guide line.... ive gone mad before a few years back, i put a big old scoop of fish, blood and bone as a top dressing, they didnt look too happy for a while, stunted, discoloured etc.

young plants are more easily burned, yes!

bigger plants can take alot more punishment, but can still suffer quite easily.

go with less, always! you can always add more.

As guerrilla plots are often hard to access ph34r.gif they dont get visited that often (speaking for myself here). So the temptation is to give them twice the recomended dose of feed to make up for the fact that you wont see them again for 3-4 weeks. DONT do this. I think I actually nute burrned one of my plants by giving too much potassium rich feed pinch.gif . Your best bet is to do as stickybud says and dig in plenty of compost, guanno, genneral purpose fertilizer before you plant. Text book says to do this as early as possible (like now) but im gonna experiment with just digging, improving and planting all in one visit next spring.

And remember you cant get big plants just by feeding lots, you gotta get them off to the best start possible, look after the roots (big roots mean a big plant wink.gif ) Start them as early as possible indoors if possible or outside with frost protection. The first month in the ground is far more important than the flowering stage for getting lots of budage. Water them plenty when they are young if its gonna be a hot day. As your plants get bigger will require more food but will get even bigger thumbsup.gif If you havnt yet read through Magoos 2008 + 2009 diarys.

Wow think im gonna copy and paste all that lot onto my harddrive before i forget it spliff.gif

find your site/sites now ... dig them over removing any weeds/roots an all in the process .. add some farmyard manure or compost .. come april go out and turn your plot/plots over with a fork and add some blood fish and bone or chicken pellets .. you can also add water retaining gel crystals at this point that will be your best buddies if its a dry summer .. during the vegetitive stage you can top dress bat guano/seaweed meal after the plants have been in the ground for at least four weeks .. when they start to flower use a potassium rich feed and give them the full dose .. yinyang.gif
Bad Penny.
My sites are getting fish-waste and manure over the next few weeks, bat guano and chicken pellets plus blood and bone and calcified seaweed around march and thats it,nowt else till august when they are getting bat guano for bloom,I dont like visiting them much over the summer unless its uber-hot and they need watering,or sometime in July to strim down the nettles, minimal care,I dont want to leave a public footpath to the sites, someone could be in for a shock at what they had stumbled upon, never mollycoddle your plants mate, they aint called weeds for nowt, fuck sakes one of my mates even named the ones he had in the back garden rofl.gif

I named one of mine and it promptly shifted off its mortal coil.

Never again rofl.gif
