How old can your nutrients be?

I've got a complete set from Hesi from a friend however the nutrient are almost 3 years old???

Can they still be used, or do I need to buy new one?

I've done it in the past but I just used it on a couple of plants and bought new for the rest of the crop, It turned out ok but with the price of nutes being pretty cheap in comparison to buying weed It's a big risk.

can you put a price on 12 weeks of time and effort (and most of all electricity!) only to have it fucked up cos your nutes have gone off?

Personally I wouldn't risk it unless you really are on the bones of your arse.
