I checked my bank statement and found this on it:-

FEMALE SEEDS
NETHERLANDS
AMOUNT IN EUR 20.27 EXCH RATE 1.039 REF 285


This is a real worry. Other companies bill more subtly through a holding or sister company but female seeds just come out and say it. I love the seeds but this is dangerous to my mind and may well stop me from buying direct again. Anyone else out there concerned?

Should all be sorted now looks like the order may of been on the overlap when the bank was sorting this out, all online orders should be from Femtec from now on.

Two things: Seeds are not illegal, and it only mentions "seeds", not "Cannabis"?
Plus, You ordered them by card, what else did you expect on your Bank Statement? "Female Seeds" is also their company name, so surely - ??

I doubt very much anyone barring yourself has any interest in your Bank Account.
I have ordered loads of stuff by card off the web; never even worried for a second about things like that.

Still, hope they sort it out for any who do worry.

My concern comes after reading the police guidlines on busting grows (published elsewhere on this site). Part two of the process is a full financial check. I appreciate that they are not illegal in themselves but it doesn't look good. Also, my personal advisor at the bank does show an interest in my statements and she decides what credit is available to me.

I might just be getting jumpy- I do smoke a lot but I could do without the worry.

I'm glad that they're on to it.

Yeah I had the same problem on my statement about a month ago.
I got it around the time iced gf went up on their site and also got it when i ordered my bg from them.

Afaik the company name is actually Fem-Tec and they've already stated before that this problem had been sorted

Maybe that's so Bartman, but do you really think all those folks are poring over all our bank account details searching for a twenty quid "seed" (not even "cannabis seeds", just "seeds") order? A legal purchase, what's the fuss?

As per the print on the statement, its not just seed is it, it's FEMALE SEED from THE NETHERLANDS Arnie, and it don't take no einstein to work it out.

Thats why i send letters with cash,never had a problem .You wait a bit longer but thats it

Well out of order IMO... won't help their sales...

Surely they can only start looking at bank statements if they suspect you in the first place and if they do you have bigger problems than seeds.

I was surprised to read this and got straight onto the phone to our merchant services.....again.
It seems there was a delay in changing the name on statements, but I have now been guaranteed that the change has been made and that all future payments will be to 'fem-tec'
I am sorry for the trouble it may have caused you and others, and there should be no more concerns on this matter now.

i wouldnt worry too much ive had similiar stuff up on my card a few times.one time when i was frauded on my card i had all my statements and account looked into by fraud department and nothing was said whatso ever about seedbanks or hydro shops etc....and thats was a year or so ago....

Coincidentally I was looking on the site today with a view to buying some seeds. I would be doing a bank transfer as I don't have a card, but when I checked the details it says to pay Account name: Female Seeds, Dordrecht, Holland

I would rather buy direct than from somewhere else, but I'm wary of this on my bank statement, has the name been changed for tranfers as well?

Unless you live in the back and beyond of nowhere - would it not be easier to go to a shop and pay cash. Admittedly I'm only talking about England. I'm not up to speed on the laws in other countries.

I'm over 100 miles from the nearest shop that sells seeds, otherwise yes it would be easier. Then again how can you trust what the shops selling you, or that they've been stored properly, or they ain't watched by the police or any other reason. Not all my reasons but I could see why people would want to buy direct.

i have a passion for PUMPKIN SEEDS or SUNFLOWER SEEDS
or when the wife or her sister was expecting the twins she had terrable cravings for these seeds
they cost a fortune in the supermarket , so i thought i would buy in bulk from holland and save a few quid
thats why i only got them once . because when she had the twins her cravings had gone..

The way I see it is, the less ways to get caught the better, however remote.

There are many reasons I wouldn't want anything of the sort on my bank statement, the main one being I rent from a housing association, currently paid through housing benefit. If there is a problem with the housing benefit (which has been messed up before), then the housing association ask for my bank statements to prove my income. I know they shouldn't use them for any other purpose, but if they did just happen to see female seeds, holland on it they may choose, as my landlord, to do something about it.

Why take any unneccesary risks? I've convinced myself to send cash now

Ill talk to them about that it's maybe changed or should be changed but will speak monday unless they see these posts before.

They'll sort it, banks are notoriously slow at doing this kind of shit.
All i've seen from this thread and the others is Femaleseeds doing their utmost to fix it and the bank fannying about.

if town hall ever ask to see your bank statements to prove your income.you are quite within your rights to liquid paper out any transactions you have made....a transaction isnt income....all you need to show them is what money be it dole or job money you have comeing in....i had this problem a while ago i was gave good advice and liquid papered all transactions i made to ann summers and other seedier places.....seeds are ;egal in the uk and untill tghey dare to make them illegal i wouldnt worry....female seeds will sort this issue to give you peace of mind im sure..

Yes, bank transfers are made to Fem-Tec as well.
As mentioned before, we changed our bank account and merchant services account to Fem-Tec over 2 years ago.
Somehow the administrative side of the merchant services didn't go to easily, but has now been solved.
Bank Transfers show up as Fem-Tec on your bankstatements.
I hope this clarifies things a bit.
