Hi guys any help will be appreciated.

At the moment i have quite a lot hanging up in my wardrobe, i got back from work yesterday and went to check it and noticed hairy bits of mould on the bits that were laying on the bottom of the wardrobe (this was just stuff to make hash, was small bits just so it could dry)
I went through all the stuff on the bottom getting rid of any of the affected ones and then made sure none of them were touching.

Then i checked the sutff that was hanging and YEP it was there too, again i took off whole stems witht hem attached to just get rid of anything that could harm the rest. i also checked the other two drawers one was fine but the other one was uite full of little bits for hash and any bits that were touching had understandably gone mouldy.
I took any big bits that were totally uneffected and put them in a new drawer to just take them away from anywhere where mould spore could/had been present.

I salvaged as much as i could from mouldy branches.

The thing is this is my boyfriend's grow and yesterday he was in exeter and todays hes somewhere else picking magic mushrooms. SO IM PRETTY MUCH STABBING IN THE DARK. ive checked this morning and there was a teensy bit on the bottom of the wardrobe, but none in the drawers . AND there was more on the stuff that was hanging..... on quite big bits cry.gif , im not sure whether it was because i missed bits as the stupid windup torch kept running out or whether it has actually spread!

IS there any course of action you'd suggest? my boyfriend treeofsatta suggested that we would probably need to freeze the uneffected ones , but to check with you lovely guys (and girls) on here first.

SORRY FOR SO MUCH WRITING.

BLACK,BROWN,WHITE MOULD.... i have never in my life seen so much bloody mould!

Sorry to hear about your mould sad.gif

IIRC, you can bubble mouldy weed, so I'd probably recommend that.

Thanks Eri, I'll relay it past him, i know he was intending to do ice hash (is that right?? eurgh im a little bit clueless) or the hash where you freeze it anyways.

The main problem is that there are unaffected bits in the wardrobe and would it still be ok if i took all mouldy bits out (again) and then left the alright ones drying or is that too much of a risk and should i just freeze the lot , i think thats what he meant anyways.

Have you got anything going on in your flowering chamber at the moment? If you've got mould in the cupboard, the spores will probably still be in there... the unaffected bits might do better hanging up somewhere with extraction. Don't bother if there's anything already in there though, of course lol.gif

You can freeze stuff before you bubble it. As for ice hash... it probably depends on the technique you use, but I think the mould should end up floating and the trichs sinking... i'm sure someone with experience of making hash out of mouldy bud will come along shortly though smile.gif

If it was me, I'd probably be tempted to cut my losses and make hash out of the lot, but it's really up to you two.

Sorry to hear it.the mouldy stuff just put thru bubble bags but don't smoke it.when I started I had a problem with mould on a drying session.I always use those stacking drying racks so the air can get all around the buds and also have a bit of air movement from a fan but not blowing dead on it.It's a good idea to have a hygro sensor to check the humidity.not much u can do now apart from keep checking them and make sure u have cut all the mould out and maybe move it to somewhere with a bit of air movement and not quite so damp see what the humidity is in the drying area.good luck.

Thank you guys for your speedy replies!!

Basically it was an outdoor guerilla grow, so now its all come here to be dried , but because it was all from random bagseed (well pretty much) they didnt all finish at the same time , the first one to be chopped was fine and dried nicely, but now all the rest are here as they had to be brought in as budrot was getting to them so there is quite a lot crammed into one wardrobe, also the strings that were ducktaped on kept falling down, which DEFINATELY didnt help.

Im going to cut/ take all the mouldy bits out as some have a thin layer over most of the buds.

I left the door of the wardrobe open last night the help with circulation. and it has seemed to help a bit, my boyfriend suggests that i freeze any bits that i salvage from the mouldy bits.

And i dont think bubblebags are an option for cost reasons, which is obviously a shame.

shall i leave the wardrobe door open again as well as the window? i dont have any form of fan (student house).

I chopped some of my last remaining guerrila plants down lastweek coz they where going mouldy.if u can't afford a fan or anything I used brown paper bags for the outdoor stuff that had a bit of mould and put it into the bags turned the top over and left in a semi warm room but make sure u take all the mould out before.

Thanks! Ive got some of those brown sainsburies mushroom bags, which i pilfered.

At this time im going through each one cutting off mould and putting them in piles by strain( the ones that are ok , that is)

Its a lenghty process im only on the second string , there are 14 strings each with about 3- 20ish stems on each. Its gonna be a long day sad.gif was up till 4am sorting it out than was woken at 6 by my boyfriend who i hadnt been able to contact when the shit hit the fan. Have been trying to sort it out since!

MUST.STAY.AWAKE.

flash dry them as quick as possible, a warm airing cupboard is best. they'll be a bit harsh to smoke but a long cure will sort that.

I dont think a long cure will sort out mould.
scraglor
? didnt say it would. flash dry the buds that are still good, or they'll get mould too
