hi ya all,rite i am growing organic in b bizz allmix and been feeding to ot1,s guide,with sum epsom salts wen needed.now ive been getting black strings off my smoke ,they float about all over the place ? now wen i feed my plants i put feed in every water ,and just water only for last week or more before the chop. should i be giving them just water once per week to use up any extra feed through the bloom faze? as im racking my brain as to what is making the black smoke and the buds taste not to clever! i dry my buds till they snap and cure to and it still dont go away.any info would be great all

i think in the last couple of weeks you shouldnt feed the girls m8.... i grow in compost and dont give any food for the last 2 weeks

There's no need to flush in compost using organic nutes.

hi ye weedmonster m8, ye ive been just feeding them water for the last week to 2 weeks,and no flushing just feeding water .and i smoke in a joint with the tip of a fag just to help it bern,and i put a good nug into each spliff to! weedmonster do you ever giv water once per week in compost ? im using the b bizz all mix,and b bizz nutes. its just theres loads of blck strings coming of wen i smoke ,they ar all over the place on my curtains and stuff. i think im overfeeding a bit but im using only the ot1s guide

i get the short black stringy tings with my smoke also sometimes, i dunno if its something to do with the tobacco because ive also had it with cigs on their own

I honestly don't think this is causing your problem but just wanted to say - OT1's guide is just that, a guide. People talk about it as if you should follow it to the letter, and it's not the case, it's just a guideline... you need to watch your plants and learn what they need, not just follow a chart!

How are you smoking your joints? What kind of papers are you using? What kind of tobacco?

Try pure cannabis with RAW papers and see if you get any black smoke then!!

Also, how long are you drying for? Are you waiting until the stems snap cleanly?

yes i no it just a guide ,and have had great results wiv staying with the ot1 method. i am using the normal slim blue rizla with a tip of a soverien in/10 ml.it may well be the gas of the cig lighter,as ive never had them this bad before

If it was over ferting would you not notice on your plants while growing ?

yes i did have a bad overfeed problem due to me trying westlands soil,and it was to rich in n and just full of crap /not soil,so im back to allmix now,so is it due to overfeeding then ya recon?as they looked bad in the last 4 weeks bloom due to all the fan leaves were burnt up and i think i may have got lsf to!

Ok man, i use
advanced fertilizer, chemical for now. I flush my plants with 4 gallons of water per 2 gallen pot. 2 weeks before harvest, and give them straight water untill harvest. I'm goin to buy some organic fertilizer soon. Ive heard u can use organic fertilizer untill harvest. please correct me if i'm wrong. peace

you dont need to flush in compost....

my girls only get plain water for 2 feeds then 1 feed with seaweed extract in the water... and they only need watering every 2 days...sometimes 3

i feed till the end and no problems here i knock the bloom down and add grow it remove more thats the way i find it

I start with OT's guide and the plants then start dictating what they want. Which has to be altered each time, depending on the plant, until I suss that plant out. That guide is around about what you should be feeding and contains a few hidden tips to feeding. I've never had a plant which would be happy being kept on that schedule though. Each plant has different nute needs. Each one has like it's own balance.

Oh yeah, apparently you don't need to flush organic nutes but I do. For me there was a definite difference between unflushed/fed till end and flushed. In taste most. Slight harshness with unflushed too but might've been sorted with a cure.

Does sound odd. . . Check on the skins and see how much glue is on them. . Could be this ?? i've seen this before coming off solvents. . .(glue)
A friend of mine works in a solvent factory and they still burn half their un wanted stuff. . .lots of black stringy shit comes off it and floats away . .

Surely illegal . . . But none the less . . .

its only wen the stuff has been lit does it giv off the odd black strings, and im smoking sum full melt now and its giving off sum long strings? feel better now

Sounds like its off your ciggy's or off your cheap blue qizzla , buy some smoking original's the green ones then never look back and these don't taste of paper like you get off that rizzla shite, imo rizzla is for people who cant tell the difference or have no taste buds as rizzla papers have a revolting smell when burned and taste

I've had this- know exactly what you mean. I think it's tar from the paper/tobacco. Change your papers, use less and stop putting baccy in those bloody spliffs, get properly high!

I think it is because of unburnt hydro carbons not 100% sure as I learned it at school and it was alongtime ago

ha! ye it took mr eco, now its on my case cus i tried to smoke it and i have had the smoking papers before they ar good ,but hard to get in the shops,il find me sum and ditch the blue gizzla,nice 1 all who have helped as i new it was the black smoke / strings

Best thing to do m8 is buy a box full there like 23 quid or so for 50 packs or is it 100 hmm either way bulk buy means u never run out or at least that's the idea
