Just popped some Ice beans and not very happy with the results. Out the 10 i put in only 6 came up. And out of those 6 only 2 have survived. The beans did,nt look fully mature. They we,re very white and pastey. I followed the same routine I,ve always done when popping beans and its never let me down like this before. What a waste of £50. I just hope the NL and Pure AK Ive got dont go the same way.

its a bstard mate, i recently germed 10 bbbc & out of the 10, only one has popped up so far, still waiting for 2 others.

Shame mate i had same thing once with barneys seeds, i putted them straith in jiffys and watered. 2 came out

but from then i use glass off water , put them inside for 48 to 72 hours and have 100% germination since then

if you still have seeds that didnt pop try to put them in cup off water,maybe they germ

atomiclolly it could be a no. of things to be fair, not just the seeds, i say this coz ive always had 100% germination from this companys seeds.

what are they in soil, rockwool, jiffys?
how old are the seeds, when did you buy them?
what lighting are you using, how close is it?
temperature, humidity,etc?

i could go on... without sounding rude i think what you need to do is be patient maybe, i popped 2 Iced grapefruit and a bubblegummer last week on friday and they;ve only just shown there heads tonight, seeds dont always germ over night...

Hi atomiclolly sorry to hear you had problems with those seeds the germ rate on femaleseeds is over 95% so for only 6 to pop out of 10 is a little strange and then for only 2 to survive out of 6 just dosent make sense.

As posted i would start any seed off in water untill it pops open then transfer to rootriot cubes or soil or whatever medium you are using, some seeds can look immature but they have been tested and they are not released unless they hit a high germination rate.

I would suggest emailing female seeds direct at info@femaleseeds.nl and mention this post and also say what happened I'm sure they will sort something out for you.


As for Nl and Pure Ak i tested both of those out myself with not a single problem.

Djay, just out of curiosity what sort of yield should one expect from the NL under a 600watt?

Not to sure man as i only ever ran them under a 400 and got 2.7-3oz per plant in soil they do stay nice and compact with nice hard nugs so i would imagine all being well 3+oz in 11ltr under a 600 should be doable

only ever had good things from female seeds love the white widdow ive had 100% germ and 100% females cant go wrong ide recomend them to any one

I also have never had any problems with this companies seeds?? and have just treated myself to some bubblegummer and ice grapefruit. I germ straight into riot cubes now they are great.

100% germ rate here, only issues I ever had was with the WW x BB hermying about 7 weeks in.

I soak my seeds for 24-48 hours before popping them in rootriot cubes. my lighting for seedlings are 2 blue spectrum t5 strip lights. Once they have rooted the rootriot cubes out. I would normally place them into 3-4inch rockwool cubes. And place them back into my propergator for another week or so under my t5,s. Then they would go under my 250w MH lamp untill their too big for it. then under my 600w mh until i decide when too flower. And from there on my 600w hps plays its part untill harvest time.

I only got the seeds about 3 months ago and have always been kept in a cool dark dry place. Temps are always kept between 25-28c and humidity for my seedlings is between 60-70%. Seeds have been in cubes now for 10 days. I also always keep my rockwool cubes moist,But never soaking wet as this has caused me problems in the past.
