Hi chaps,

Not sure if the is the right forum, but here goes.

I've just received an outrageous text from an a friend and recently stopped grower, asking me if I could help him out come harvest time.! This man was as paranoid as fuck for the 6 or so yrs he was growing.

I know that texts are stored for 6mths and intend to dump my sim card; Thankfully it's not registered to me.

Do phone's themselves attach their own ID to messages, or can I hang on to my phone?

Poacher
the actual message itself is not stored, its just the message details ie: time date gps location etc

The phone and the SIM card are alright and don't need binning - just delete the message from the phone.

The carriers just keep the time and date of the texts sent (unless you're already under detailed observation) AFAIK. wink1.gif

Hi Poacher,

Thanks for the fast reply. Definitely not the info in the text? I thought they kept the actual texts themselves?

So all I need to do is wipe the text, get him to wipe his text and tell him he's a cunt?
Tremont-Salby
how do the pigs find old texts that have been erased ?

we hear it often in the news pinch.gif ,i know ,i know, don't believe all you read/ hear .

but hypothetically ,would it be kept in the phone or the sim unsure.gif

lol.gif or you could run a guilt trip by him as a joke and tell him you need a new sim and fone .

The texts are stored in the phone memory. wink1.gif

e²a: Some phones allow you to save texts to the SIM card.

You can do a 'Master Clear' or 'Factory Reset' on the phone to completely clear the memory on it.

You can get USB SIM card readers for around £10 that allow you to backup your phone numbers, settings, stored text messages &c. which I think are handy to have. thumbsup.gif
