i wanted to commit to a gurrilla style grow next year. Would be going for passion #1 most probly. I i was alitle confussed about 'prepairing' the pot. If thers any borred gurrilla growers who would care to explain how to at fertilizer to the plot ect, i remember reading that its a good idea to get the area sweet in the aurtum ? thaanks guys.

leppy we got something in common i agree with you on that maybe if you grow a shit load you could use a few of the top buds for target practice gunsmilie.gif boxing.gif whittley01 i know ouncy used to grow them but what i read they tend to grow tall and will snap under high winds if you dont top them early finisher but what i read dont yeild more than 5 oz a plant. bad penny look forward to what you intend to grow because your posts are always a good read thanks for the replys fellas.

In the New year i will be in the perfect position to do a big ass grow so will be doing Killer skunk-ugorg, if they have seeds by then, should do fingers crossed, and blue cheese-bug buddha and some beans from some mighty fine bags ive been getting recently, Looking forward to tbh and have a shite load of pure sat seeds for a guerilla later in the year.
Might even attempt a diary along the way, ahhhhhhh or maybe not tongue.gif

Will have to upgrade afew things during the xmas period too, Yep next years gonna be a good'n

i'm going to try the 'forgotten grow' method - half prep the site - plant the beggars - run over them with a tractor and return late october to pick up my booty!

Punk
somefing purple.might go back to frisian dew, impressed with a trial el nino i just chopped tonight,so might go for some late finishers as there was less mould then the mid oct mystery girls.passion def.

Like Leepy as much as possible. yes.gif Starting with Sour Bubble and Strawberry Cough, then quickly into a Little Hands mix.

After some preliminary reseach, I've ditched the durbans in favour of something else sativas based. Too many stories of unpotent buds on the durban front. I will be doing the Rox again, if not jst for the smell. Def a purple #1, and possibly some Frisian Dew. Early Sativa from Female Seeds. 4 Types. And 3 plots. Yup, I'm gonna go for gold. All plots seem secure now, and relatively free from humans. 2 plots will be in pots, 1 plot is amended clay based, all with full sun - horizon to horizon.

Gunna have a try at danish genetics acclimatised to 55n. leb 27, danish gold, danish passion and whatever else I can get. Has anyone here tried these?

Also gunna do a run of easy sativa. Want to grow a couple of the monster you see on here, Ive found quite a few spots for next year.

Got to be honest, the Danish strains I grew were one rung up the potency ladder from lowryder,I wouldnt grow them again but your the man splashing the cash so buy what you want, ever thought of canadian strains instead?

yessir. gotta have a crack at sannie's stuff next year. erdbeer f3's for moi.
karma genetics jamil sayyida worked well so round 2 is gonna happen for sure, and i need to consider another strain or two for crossing. purpurea ticinesis and an ther strawberry cross (erdbeer) are the main contenders. i would opt for canadian, but they are quite pricey on the whole. might go for one pack, but hard to justify with nippers and she-who-must-be-obeyed to consider pinch.gif

i grew purple power this year and i dont reccomend it really. its got a very unique smell wich i dont think is very nice , just wierd . also it says end of september harvest more like end of oct . btw i got my seeds from femaleseeds.nl just abit of advice for u lot on here smile.gif here is a pic the buds were very fluffy
Stickybud73
We hate fluffy buds!!

Is this just cold temps? Could we finish sats in a greenhouse? Or is this caused by root function shutting down?

I've just been warned about the potency of purple#1, early finish but no decent high. [ta, mr frisian]

I'm hearing bad things about most purple smokes...

So for me there are 3...

Frisian Dew/Early Sativa/Rox

3 types 3 plots.

Fuck the purples. biggrin.gif

thanks for the advice there buddy i had some to smoke this year and it seemed much better than what i read about it. yours in the photo dont look as if it yeilded much i am after something that yeilds at least 5 oz a plant next year and i might try growing a monster or two like magoo.
dpn
been researching like mad recently for next seasons grow, heres some strains that i haven't heard of before, that will be purchased soon! they could be very promising!

ciskei; south african like durban poison, late sept finish, tasty, potent, nice calyx to leaf ratio... if you get the right pheno!
double fun; citral (pakistan) x dr weed mans unknown strain, early oct finish, potent sweet buds.
ciskei x purple pakistan x highland nepalese? i think i got that right? sounds decent.
banghi haze; ace seeds, sounds sweet, very mold resistant but late oct finish, but very good quality!

stickybud is that dutch passion's durban poison you want to ditch? because i wanted to give that a go next year... has it gone garbage?
Enzo5
durban poison, purple passion, maybe some cheese or blueberry
Mr Frisian
Femmed seeds will be 10x frisian dew, 10x passion no1 and 10x khola all dutch passion ,,, And some next generation seeds timewarp and bonkers which i will do 20x cuttings each, Bring on 2010

oOO00ooO00o0O! Lookit the pretty colors! rolleyes.gif

A friend of mine who works on a very large (commercial) outdoor farm in northern california says that the purps are grown as they sell well. Most experienced percy growers and tokers stay away. yes.gif
Mr Frisian
Purple no1 is a great strain if you dont smoke rofl.gif Big yields and early finish but the smoke is poor , Very poor .
Looks amazing tho
Indicaderek
All show and no go that Purple #1 by the sound of it.

Does anyone know if 'Flo' finishes nicely in the uk? Either the Dj shorts or DP version? Breeders state last week of Sept but £60 for 5 femmed beans isnt cheap!!
dpn
indicacreek im sure when breeders say that their strain finishes late sept, if it was bred in say spain that might be the case, but the further up north you go, the finishing time gets later.

the purple taste gets a bit sickening though!

They wont be repeat buyers, just curious.

I didn't want to generalise, as there may be some potent purps out there...

And yup, I was talking about [mostly] durban poison from dutch passion, after some research, seems nothing positive about the smoke. Could be novice growers, but, it's off the '10 list for me.

I'm still interested in the blueberry, [dp], as they seem to be earlier these days, Bad Penny's were around 3 weeks earlier than my seeds from 3 yr old stock. I wonder how his buds turned out, mine were a little airy due to the cold temps late Oct.

guitar.gif

Bad Penny.
My Blueberry were fine mate,no complaints, the smell is gorgeous, very, very fruity(I only smell,I never smoke, well the Swiss used to sell it in smell bags after all biggrin.gif ) The purps Randaliser is talking about is totally different from european strains, the purps is a famous Cali variety, did THSeeds bring out a purps? Its like OG Kush is different from genuine Hindu Kush, its almost a brand name. That purple #1 looks incredible, but as Mr F said, taste doesnt match performance smoke.gif nea.gif
Indicaderek
Dpn I must agree, seems for every degree of longitude you go further north a week gets added to the finishing time of Mj bred further south, what really makes the UK summers unique and so difficult to predict with Mj finishing flowering is the gulf stream but thats a whole thread waiting to be debated elsewhere methinks. Flo was originall bred by Dj shorts and has had some good reports from indoor growers who rate it for flavour and well balanced high.

SB my Blueberry could have gone another two weeks with the biggest colas taken first after one extra week, there was no mould but with the undergrowth thinning out discovery was becoming more and more of a possibility. Is still a nice up high but the buds are skinny and airy compared to one of the papayas which had mostly brown hairs by 21/10.

The Bberry is a 15yr old cut that has been doing the rounds where I am, the keeper of this strain was recently busted but there are other cuts still going but it just takes too long for outdoors for me, idk maybe it would have been worth the extra 2 weeks worry!!

I hope the Canadian stuff I have waiting to germ will do better though I will certainly be jumping on the easy sat band wagon along with everyone else. Meanwhile I await the update on UDG along with everyone else for yet more canadian strains of which there is a lot of choice for the outdoor grower. There should be over a dozen strains having found the current cultivation list for one breeder there on the forum, theres at least 18 diff strains all being cultivated outdoors but idk which or how many will be seeded and sold.

Keep Tokin spliff.gif
Indicaderek
BP when did your Bberry finish and was it Dp's seeds?
dpn
i think female seeds will be raking it in with easy sativa next season stoned.gif

A grower who seemed to know his stuff recommended ak47 (female.s) for outdoors, but said it stinked though.

i am also going with kc 36 by kc brains nice short stocky plant with huge buds i guy i was talking to from holland was getting about 10 oz a plant my mate a year before last got 8 oz and the cutting he was given wasent put out till june the 25 th with all the bad weather we had no signs of rot either
Indicaderek
Ferret heard a few good reports on that Kc36 outdoors thanks for the reminder. They are well cheap as well, may ave to get a pack as theres an extra freebie seed or two from the tude until tomorrow on their newsletter.
the ferret
thanks for the reply there mate i have posted on here before about kc 36 its a fantasic plant the best plant i have ever seen grown outdoor my mate used to buy seeds from all the top seed banks but he had a kc 36 cutting given to him on june the 25th a year before last it was very small and because he had plants in his green house decided to put it in a pot outside and dident expect it to live due to all the bad weather we had come october he had 8 oz off it and the plant was only about 4 ft high the main cola was like a 2 litre bottle of pop and the side buds was bigger than the main cola of the chronic he was growing at the time in his green house. its a fantastic plant to grow very easy to take cuttings from and will out yeild plants that cost 8 times the price i wouldent say the smoke is great i would say about the same as chronic but he dident cure it right just put it in a cardboard box and would turn it over every couple of days since trying it he hasent looked back since and now grows it every year.
