Will this do the job if I sit it beneath my tray with my pots/rockwool cubes on, I'm just trying to up root temps a bit on the cheap.

Not the first time i've heard of doing that and it still sound like a good idea. wink1.gif I'm sure someone with experience in this field'll be along shortly.

mate i bought a 3ft heating mat from my local hydro shop last year.It didnt have a thermostat I had to put it on a timer 1hr on 1hr off or else it would have cooked my plants.If you buy it give it a test run for 24hrs just to make sure it dosnt overheat or dry your pots out

Hi mate, I'm only going to use a 7w'er and run it half an hour on half an hour off.

I nearly sure that mat i have is a 30w and it was drying out 6.5L pots .I think a timer is a good idea untill you check it out
