As long as the temps in your home dont drop you'll be ok, if they do drop watch out.

Bought a heated prop from B&Q for £13 after trying to rack my brains with this one. They also do a taller one for around£25 but If you got £13 spare you can save yourself some brain ache and risking poss expensive seeds.

cant you put it on something that will give it a stedy temp eg a sky box or something electrical
Thats all that i do, dunno if it works because i have only just done it today.
Only one way to find out though

cupboard with immersion tank in is good (unless youre lucky enough to have a combi) , im going to try sitting the prop on a snake heat mat when i next do some to see how that does
Remember they need at least 18 hrs of light mate, why not just stick them in a cupboard whith a light over it.

I have 2 x 28w fluoros sitting on top of it that provide all the light and heat they need. About 20 quid each I think, so not cheap, but great prop lights.

If you put fluoros on the lid, spray the underside and the warmth from the lights will keep the humidity up.

no need for 250w when 20w will do the job
