Thats my first thoughts, the hydro tubs are Flo Gro 50litre:

Using GH Flora nutes, advice on strains for my scrog?

Nice drawing. What is it though? rofl.gif

Seriously now. I wouldn't bother with aircooled lights if you have a good source of fresh air and can vent outside. Even the best a/c hoods are crap at light spread imo.Big enough fans will cool any normal shades.

Don't know that flo gro thing. Is it top fed or flood/drain. I reckon rez would get hot and cause problems. Just my first impression. I am always a bit dubious about new fangled things.

I assume space is about 2m with that lighting. Scrog in that space is a pain imo. SOG preferable I think.

I would do Chronic from serious seeds if you don't want super strong. Yields good and very forgiving.

Try posting more details I'd say if you want more.

I use gh flora mixed Lucas formula and have good results.

Cheers

Thanks for the swift replies, the flo gro is a drip feed thing, used it before a couple of times.. its cool.. room for 8+ plants in each tub, 50litre res you can leave it for 5 days without adjusting..

at the moment i am torn between using the whole room or getting another tent, i have one icon grow tent already.. split that system between two tents could be cool?

im glad you said that about the aircooled lights, in that situation they might not be the best route, but say a 600w in a grow tent surely that will kick out some heat??

just to note, i have grown in the past to success and am not a novice but im not into the science so much.. just want practical ideas to get the job done!

Jus lookin at your drawin an noticed the carbon filter is on the intake I think. U would be best to put it at the exhaust end mate.

Peace

i'd go for 2 tents in that room mate , keeps the room tidy and still usable to store shit. doing a full room means spending on floor covering and shit loads of mylar for partitioning etc

Joana, thanks mate.. i wondered if it was right..

Sky, i think your right too..

Watch this space, i'll be adding info and specs as i go along until the system is complete.

Yes, but fans kick out some cooling.
I have had 1200w of hps in a 1m tent in a sealed caravan in summer running 24/7. (I just tried it for a laugh). 8inch fan out, 6 inch in- no cf and minimal ducting. Inside that tent was the coolest place for miles around.

Moral of the story is- if you can pass enough air through the tent the lights cannot heat it up fast enough.Simple physics. Anyone who says otherwise is under-fanned and/ or over ducted.(A couple of metres of poorly designed ductwork can halve airflow.) I would bet my house on all this. (If the bank would let me).

Work out the fan you need taking all ducting and cf into consideration and buy at least the next size up.There are some ventilation experts on here who would be glad to help you spec it I am sure. You can turn it down with a speed controller if needs be.(Probably be quieter than a smaller one then).I use an Ecotechnics Evolution fan speed contoller and would highly recommend it. Little bit expensive but worth it in my opinion. Simple to use for less technically minded also and keeps environment nice.

I would agree that two tents is a better way to go. Keeps all nice and tidy.

Best of luck

Papa.

Really? I blow through mine but the impression I get is that sucking through it is marginally more popular. Not sure what difference it makes specifically.
