Hello there, last year i recived some medication (from a canadian phamacy), was called kahuna, ive noticed this is from soma seedbank, it was a delightful smoke and seems to be one of somas larger yeilders. Ive been realy impressed with soma products purchased in Amsterdam but have no experiance with his seeds.

I was just wondering if anyone has grown this variaty, or infact any of soma strains, there realy doesnt seem to be alot of info on this forum about soma seeds.
I think this strain would respond well to SOG style, which i was planning on trying out next.
Thanks.

BREEDING - Super Skunk - Big Skunk Korean - Jack Herer - Afghani-Hawaiian

Indica: 80% Sativa: 20%

MINIMUM YIELD 25-30 grams ~ FLOWERING 9-10 weeks

"One of Soma's favorite strains, Kahuna is a 4-way cross that brings together a wide set of influences for a complex high. Soma recently renamed his Soma #9 strain Kahuna, which is a Hawaiian title for a religious or spiritual leader that literally means "Keeper of the Secret." The Kahuna variety has both tropical influences in its parentage, and spiritually attuning effects when used. A medium-sized plant, Kahuna produces few side branches and a top bud that will impress you with its length and density. Due to the big, tight buds, conditions must be tended carefully for this variety. For indoor gardens, attention to humidity levels is key for mature buds that are mold-free. While recommended for indoors where variables can be controlled, outdoor growing is possible in reliably dry climates, although an unseasonably rainy season could ruin the promising look of these thick buds with insidious mold. When Kahuna's proper conditions are met, the yield potential is fantastic, offering a harvest of up to 500 g per square meter in a standard sea of green. This variety has shaken a little pepper into an otherwise sweet-tasting puff. very sweet smelling variety with a powerful cerebral high that invites creativity. This is great daytime pot, complementary to most introspective activities, and comfortable for socializing with colleagues and friends. Kahuna offers medicinally valuable properties for many conditions without interfering with quality and clarity of one's thought. "

Price is E80 though ! not cheap but compaired to the extortionate cost of the NYCD seeds its nothing.

Funny you mention this strain. Someone on here posted some info about Soma's Flavored additives and I was looking on his site for some more info. I came across this strain and it caught my eye. It looks like a pretty nice strain to try.. if you do try it out, make sure you post a diary so we can all see what the score is biggrin.gif

I've seen a few soma grows in the diaries, i've only tried his buddhas sister, germ rates were fine and the 3 girls i had so far were all very good yielders and pretty easy plants to grow too. I'd definitely like to try some more of somas strains.

Ye come to think of it ive seen lots of NYCD grows about, the only problem i have is paying £80 for 10 seeds, you see i wouldnt be able to take any cutting this time round. Am i right in thinking the current exchange rate is about 1E = £1 ? The econimy sucks, i wouldnt be intrested in going amsterdam an time soon and paying like £12 per gram of pukka!
Plus i was planning on a small SOG setup and with only 10 seeds to start..
NYCD is a dream grow for me , i'll deffo put up the £££ one day.

Amtheyst bud is another intresting one;

BREEDING - Lavender - Afghani Hawaiian

Indica: 80% Sativa: 20%

MINIMUM YIELD 25-35 grams ~ FLOWERING 9 -10 weeks

"Amethyst Bud is a mix of Lavender Bud and Afghani Hawaiian so the dark purple color from the purple Kush part of it's genetics comes through. This bud is on the smaller side but more of them and they are quite dense with many THC crystals visible with the naked eye. The smell is strong and pungent with a good high for relaxing with a good friend. Leaves a delicious taste in your mouth. When it looks like it's ready wait a week."

E80 again for 10 seeds.

These 2 strains would be great to grow side-by-side , they both should finnish at the same time, and would be 2 totaly differnt medicinal strains !
£160 for 20 seeds!! Not anytime soon for i
