Hi
Moving my intake from to eaves in the loft but its dusty/dirty and can suck in crap.
What can i use as a filter which will not impede airlow ?
Was thinking of some of that green scoring stuff but think it may impede flow to much.
Any ideas ??
Cheers

After discussing with the Mrs deciding on 20 Denier, don't want to get funny looks buying 60 denier, everybody knows robbers use them as masks..

What size fan are you using?
try this

I use a fine mesh nylon fabric
From fleabay arts & crafts section
Keeps a lot of shit out and because its white you can see when it needs cleaning

Growhell sell a ventilation particle filter, this would also have the avantage of filtering out other nasties which tights aren't fine enough for. I would still wrap the particle filter in tights to reduce the amount you have to clean.
If you use just tights I'd use 2 pairs of the finest denier you can and cable tie them in several places up the ducting
Cooker hood filters would work really well as well.

might look a bit daft but if you could get one to fit a car airfilter would work

Well i tried tights but within 10mins my fans kicked in at full, so were impeding airflow. Will have a look for some filter material.
