Hi everyone, in my grow room i have 5 600w lights, 6" in-line fan dragging in, 8" acoustic fan with phat CF taking out. The problem is when i made the room i vented into the house and now i have wet walls and mould! its really bad! but now their down the first improvement im goin to make is sort the ventaltion system out! how easy is it to vent up the chimney? i have just a chimney breast with no fires. if i vented into the loft would it just despurse into the atmostphere through the roof tiles etc.. or do i need to have it vented directly outside? any help would be grateful! cheers

ive heard venting out the chimney can be risky as if the wind changes direction neighbours might become wary

is it the chimney breast for your central heating system? if so dont be venting into it, or you could ned up gassing yourself

no its an old terrace house, the chimney breast is from old coal fore which have been blocked off and plastered over, also i have a carbon filter, so neighbours shouldn't smell nothing. cheers

I have the same kinda chimney m8 and I have gone into it with no problems.

Also, the height of a chimney, even if the wind does change dirrection as long as your using a carbon filter and you dont have your chimnwey backing onto someone's bedroom you will be fine ! ph34r.gif
