can you make BHO from males?

i see on other posts the general vibe is no however im curious as there is atleast 1 post with a nice ball of hash made from 2 males? if he has got that hash from sifting or whatever then surely i should be able to get something from oiling it

The answer is, it's worth a shot but unless the male has some visible trichs, don't get your hopes up. You'll end up with something at the end of it but it might not contain any cannabinoids. Try it and see.

The cans already give the scale.

If you dry the plants first, the butane will extract any cannabinoids within the tissues.

cheers for the reply but ive already done it now just snipped the tips of them plants off chopped em up and now they soaking in the butane for 5-10mins
soon see if any joy

yep scraped that little lot up and it looks just like the BHO i made a while back from propper bud trim so happy with that so far. only used a tiny bit of trim from them males so tommorow im gonna chop all rest of leaves stems up real small and do another bigger run. hopefully it will be nice and strong

do i have to purge it in freezer a few times to remove all butane or can i whack some of that sticky goodness straight onto a roll up and give it a whirl right now?

right fuck it i aint put it in freezer or anything but am gonna spread a little bit on a single skin rolly and get puffin! hopefully the butane has evapourated by now but im a bit unsure and dont wanna poison meself or anything daft so if it tastes dodgy i will fuck it off and wait till its been in freezer a few times to rid the last bit of gasses

must say its pretty harshy harsh on my throat however i do feel nicely smashed now and im only 2/3rds through the joint ( made a normal J not a 1 skinner in the end).

the awkward bits in the tray that i cant seem to scrape out... are they collectable with a bit of ipa? got some at work thinking i may nick a bit tommorow and melt the sticky gooeyness into a mass so hopefully it will be easier to collect up? got to a point where scraping the blade along the dish was leaving more behind than it was picking up

That's twice now that you've posting 4 times in a row, without giving people time to reply. Try to be more patient, things move slowly in here. It looks the right colour and if it gets you stoned then it's the right substance. You need to purge it thoroughly before smoking it, butane is no good for the central nervous system. You also need to heat it gently for a few minutes or cure it, so that all of the THCA is converted to THC. Extracts from fresh plant material will contain mostly THCA, which is useless as it is. If you want to remove the oil then you can use ISO, or you can pour the butane/oil solution into a tray lined with one of those teflon baking mats from the supermarket. After purging the oil you can put the mat in the freezer until the oil is solid and then peel the oil away from the teflon.
