Hi, I have a couple of cheese plants just coming into week 9 12/12. Both different, one has always been light green with big wide leaves and is in good health. The other has always had much darker thinner leaves, and from about the secound week of flowering she started to get manky dead leaves on the scruff and around the bottom of the plant in general.
TBH I didn't take too much noticed, put it down to low light and moisture due to the closeness to the soil. I just cut off bad leaves as they appeared.
Now I'm approaching week 9 and the plant still seems weeks away from finishing, at least 2 anyway. On closer inspection in the last week it appears that now virtually all the leaves have some badness on them and I'm now wondering if it is this that is slowing her down?
Have a look at the picture, most leaves are like this some are more brown. The leaves themselves feel quiet dry and crispy.
Is there anyone who knows what this is or if there is anything I can do this late into flowering? Or should I just hope it keeps enough good leaf area to finish? What with this illness and a bit of heat near the top I'm beginning to wonder how it will photosynthesise :s
This one has been a bit of a nightmare from start to finish could really use a bit of help peeps, cheers

I have had a look around, and it does seem very much like a K deficiency?
I looked on the Canna website (on coco using canna cocoa+b) and the picture and description did seem to match the problem exactly, although I would like some feedback from anybody with an opinion on this.
Does seem strange as appart from the canna a+b they have had 2, 3 day blasts with pk13/14 at week 3 and 6 of 12/12.
About a month ago I ran out of food and gave them tomorite 4-4-8 for a week but can't see that would hurt.
Does anyone think the coco could be needing a rinse? been at least 6 weeks since I flushed it through, just started to get too big to put in the bath smile.gif.
I'm thinking flush her through then PK her again? or is this too late in the day? Any advice greatly recieved

if all the leaves are like that m8...it too late for them, just let them finish budding they should be ok for a couple of weeks

Most of the leaves like are like that, younger bud leaves are still ok, but it seems to be really getting worse the last couple of days.

Some colas are getting nice and hard others are still barely more than clumps of white hairs with no density at all.

neither phenos are very indica, the healthy plant stretched and didn't preflower properly for 6 weeks. Went from a plant vegged for only 2 weeks and flowered in a 6.5l pot has ended up over 6' and will take at least 11 weeks to finish. Smells quiet cheesy though. The sick plant has always smelt more like bubble gum. I had high hope for this one sad.gif.

So you really don't think it would be of benefit to flush the poorly plant and give it some more K? I could even give it tomorite for a couple of days as it has a little extra K. I don't want to do anything now that will effect the flavour or burn of the finished product though.

Its fungal, the pics are very poor so its hard to see, but you may also have an early thrips infestation.

I had a good surf last night. Looks like citrofresh is ok late into flowering. Is it worth bothering this late in the day?
Also I'm very concerned that the roots are starting to die off. Gone from being like bean shoots poking out the holes in the pot, to going a bit grey and mushy sad.gif.
REALLY REALLY need some advice, chop them now to save whats there. Sit it out and hope the plant holds it together long enough to finish? Sit it out and treat with citrofresh?
I was thinking if it will be ok till the weekend and doesn't go down hill too quickly, I would harvest the big stuff, then chop the root ball back a bit and re-pot and continue to flower her till lower stuff is ready. Or is this foolish or unachievable?

an advice greatly recieved
