Hi folks, ive stumbled over someone with a load of mini grostars but he says they cost £130 each.

i cant remember how much i saw them at before & i can get the normal grostar costs £140.

so the Q is, how much did you pay for yours ?

cheers JH

Sounds about right, guessing it's an 'offline' growshop ? think they were about £110 online. considering their not available anymore, sounds like a good deal wink.gif

I bought mine from the importer, £70 for the dimpled, £90 for the miro £150 for the full size miro one. Not sure what his stocks are like now but a google search should bring up a retailer which he supplies. They're both made on the same press in Canada and with the large one being more profitable and having a back-log of orders they tend to be concentrating on making the larger ones most of the time.

There was a post earlier this week that Greens are getting them back in soon - so could be worth phoning and asking them

I'm looking to put a minigrostar into 1.2mx1.2m growtent, I assume that would be a better fit than the normal size grostar.

I'm not too bothered about the cost anywhere around 100-135 would be fine.

thankyou

What is the difference? They are still showing the old type? I use heat proof tape on mine instead of silicone sealent, but would be intersted in seeing the new design to see if I can adapt mine smile.gif

Will i have to use the larger grostar(Canadian) reflector if i have a 1000w lamp or can the smaller one be used with a 1000w bulb? My tent is 1.4 x 1.4 x 2m

Full size grostar, mini's aren't recommended for anything above 600w.

I use a 1m2 parabolic shade with a 1000w and I love it, I think you'd be a happy man with a full size grostar even if it is massive.

Going to buy one to try out a 1000w next time against my parabolic (Parabolic is £60 from greens, when in stock) to see which is better.
