Full Version: What Should I Keep My Ph At When Growing In Bio Bizz All-mix Soil?

Hi guys just a quick one, im just about to start my first soil grow and im unsure what to set my Ph at, ive read and been told different things from as low as 5.5 to high as 6.4. Any suggestion???
BluePixie
Compost rootzone should be around 6.5 pH ideally. This is higher than hydro......

Normally you won't need to worry about your tap water / feed pH when growing in compost as as long as it's above 6.5pH out of the tap (and most UK is) the compost should naturally buffer it down to the the right pH. What brand of compost are you using and what nutes? e2a just seen your profile.......Vitalink and Allmix......

high.

You should keep ya water as it comes out ya taps.

A mix of hot n cold so its just slightly worm.

No ph'ing just as it comes thumbsup.gif the compost will alter it for you!

Good luck with ya gro bro.

In the UK using tap water and commercial potting compost mixes you really do not need even to think about Ph. I havent, not in 8 years or so now. Dont even own a Ph testing kit. not even a cheapie one.
So forget the Ph wink1.gif
In compost, its best not to fiddle and fuss. Just water, a little feed here and there, add a little patience - this is is all you really need.

Thaks for the replies guys very much appreciated, i would have been altering the Ph and probably messing things up!!!!!

high you say your changing too canna coco.

Your profile says your using coco! Coco is not compost.

If your not using compost you will have to ph.

If your using coco your style of grow is hydro.

Yup, what he said! Coco isn't compost, and has different techniques, I think you may well need to get your Ph sorted in coco unsure.gif thumbsup.gif
