you can buy "reducers" from grow shops, but a cheap and easy way.......plant pots and gaffer tape wink1.gif

For emergencies only:

Use a cone shaped traffic cone, the larger ones, it only takes 5 minute drive before you find one. 13.gif

With plenty of gaffa tape it is possible to do something temp.

But it would help if you could reduce the speed of your fan as well, else it will probably be really noisy else, try it and see.

haha plant pots and gaffer tape awesome answer cheers mate thumbsup.gif

Buy a reducer, I've done the plant pot thing before and the gaffer tape fails after time and you end up with dead plants (Well almost) use jubilee clips, gaffer tape becomes an awful lot less sticky when heated by warm air it almost cost me a crop.

Plant pots can't be jubilee'd to and ducting without jubilee's is pissing in the wind IMHO.

Reducer + jubilee's ~£10, actually not killing your plants because you weren't a tight arse on such a simple and important thing priceless.

The plant pot idea, i picked up off this forum and it does have it's drawbacks. But for an emergency, it's a bloody good idea .

Because a 4" filter will suppress the fan too much and if not controlled will pull too much air through it too quickly so not doing its job

Beware a 6" fan is HUGE when compared to a 4" one.
Get ready for something double the size in every way apart from the hole at the end lol.gif .

my 5 inch filter has a 4 inch inner tube ,fan is only a 5 inch tt though.

plant pot thing works fine if you use ally foil tape but as said gaffer is shite.
