Hi All,
Will be starting my first hydro grow in a couple of weeks ( fed up of growing in dirt ). Still sorting out a frew bits of kit and was wondering whether the above pens are any good, there on special offer at the mo. I know everyone thinks bluelab wands are the way forward, but at the moment im just giving hydro a go and dont want spend to much.
Any comments are greatley apprecialed.

Hi King Ben,
I tried to find out what these pens were like off a shop that had them on offer (near Bradford the shop is). Did not get a reply about my questions on 2 occations. Greens have stopped selling ADWA test probes (they had a good offer on the latest models a few months back but have now gone). i have read on a few sites they are ok. In the end I opted for a HANNA HI 98129 combo tester w/steel temp probe. I found it on Flee bay from America for just over £80, Its good and easy to use. Hope someone can give you exprience of the ADWA probes but dont think that there are many people use them.
Regards cain1.

I have one which I got from ebay for just under £15. Its pretty good but doesn't go over e.c 2. I found out the hard way after buying a bottle of conductivity standard 2.76 and the meter wouldn't read it. I need to order some 1413 stuff from online but its hard to come by. They do a few different adwa models so check first.
other than that it seems reliable.

If i was you mate I would get a decant ph pen, I got the adwa ph pen(cheap one) and had nothing but problems, evan after calibrated it still went wrong, a good ph pen pays back in yield, but thats just my thought.

I bought them...
They lasted a couple of months reliably..
pH pen now broken completely.
EC pen drifts so much I stopped using it about 4 months ago...
pH pen I got 8 months out of, but I'm doubtful of the accuracy over the last couple of months of that...
As a stop gap they'll do the job for you, but you will need something better, more reliable, more expensive...
Oh yeah I ordered from that shop near Bradford, their service was shit, lied over the phone, and slow, and would never use the again.

i bought the ec and ph pen several months back for both pens for £35 quid on special offer.
personally i dont like them, they constantly need recalibrating, especially the EC pen.
i went back to using my horticare ones, they are alot better imo.
