hi everybody, stoned.gif

Ive just started my 1st organic grow, i germed the seeds 4 days ago. They are all female, 9 white berry, 1 la woman, 1 sour cream and 1 la con., which are growing nicely under my 125 cfl in rootcubes.
They are still sat in the heated propogator with the lid off, i checked them before and about half of them have started to get the odd root or two coming out of the side of the rootcube. I would think maybe the next day or two they all should have roots growing out the sides so i need to start thinking about transplanting them into there new pots (which will be rootcube to 15cm pot to 11 litre pots), so i was wondering:

-Is it ok to put the rootcubes directly into all-mix in the new pots (they will be about a week old) or should i mix some more perlite in (about 20%) bearing in mind it already contains 30%?

-Can i have them on just water for the first few weeks until i start vegging, or even flowering?

-When is best time to transplant, when the rootcubes have a few roots coming from the sides or quite alot of roots? (im scared of stunting them before i get started).

Hi Mur
I usually wait 'till quite a few roots are showing through the sides and bottom. I then re-pot into light mix but in your case I would probably mix in more perlite. On the feeding front, you shouldn't need any but if they look a bit pale before you repot again then give them a little, about 1/2ml grow and bloom per litre. Only do this though, if the leaves are looking pale, let the plants tell you when they're are hungry. With regular re-potting you shouldn't need to feed them 'till a week or 2 into flowering but I do find that all mix occasionally needs a boost.
Hope that helps,

Ditch the Perlite, its just taking up space needed for root development. The mix is fine for young plants, as is. Personally though, I would not bother with the lite-mix or anything else, I always found Allmix itself a bit light-weight, and had no probs germinating seeds in it and rearing young plants in it as well. If Allmix is you thing, stick with it and ditch everything else, it should be fine as it comes from the bag.
IME, with Allmix you will need some Epsoms though, around week 3 of 12/12 wink1.gif

Thanks for the advice arnold, greatly appreciated. Shall take it on board as im repotting today when my delivery arrives, hopefully they should be fine in the all mix then! Shall go and purchase some epsom salts to today, is it a tablespoon to 10 litres of water? And do u just add them with the nuted water or with just water and epsom salts?
Thanks again.
