Well I have a space around 3 x 4 metres, average bedroom size in a house and id like to experiment. Problem is, im used to tents, so this is way above me.

Id like your suggestions on a few points:


1) Should I use a large tent in this room...or just use the room?

2) How many plants would you suggest? ...20? 40?

3) How many lights and wattage would cover the number of plants?

4) What size final pots?

5) LED's? Is this technology readily avaliable yet?



Bear in mind this is a room in a house with neighbours.

What you should do depends on your needs and your available resources. You need to do more research.
Forget LED lighting. Too expensive and not as effective as HIDs.

Some people would expect 7.2 kilos per grow.
I'm guessing you're a heavy smoker ?

First priority is ventilation.

This is my research.

Its a relatives room in their house. Its a bedroom. But what to do with it I dont know. Im more used to 1 x 1 x 2mtr spaces.


The end goal say 2.5lbs give or take.



Why have a constant grow when you can knock one a year off.

Maybe that would make the house stand out too much heat wise. Ok so maybe not utilize the whole room, just the centre.

I don't smoke enough to warrant more than one 600 watt grow every year or two.

A moderately competent grower could expect half a gramme per watt in compost.

1125 grammes x 2 = 2.25KW = 3 to 4 x 600 watt lamps = each covering 1 metre squared with fancy reflectors, a fair bit less with horizontal ones.
Batch cost in electricity = £500 - plus
Extraction - presumably 8 inch fan and filter.

Ok, all of this is helpfull advice, and made me realize I need to go a smaller scale.

Hardly anyone uses 1,000 watt lamps these days - so 2 x 600 watts.

Plant numbers - so many techniques. One plant vegged for a very long time - up to maybe 100 vegged for hardly any time at all - average perhaps 20. (1 per square foot)

Personally I have now settled on 8 to 10 unsexed seeds - aiming for 4 plants (under the eqivalent of about 600 watts) - vegged for 8 weeks (bent / topped at 6 weeks).

I only use feminized. So 10, on a 6 week veg?

If had funds i'd get a nice tent 2m x 2m.
Passive air intake
Extract fan and decent filter.
A Light Rail/Mover. (hold 3 lamps)
For veg, 3x 150w blue cfl.
For flower, 2x 400w lumatek hps.
2x Nft 604 systems
6/8x girls in each.
And whack 4 utility shelves in as scrog nets.
Nutes, Vita or Canna.

Full Veg and Full flower. and Bob's ur Aunty

Is there a guide to scrog you can link for me? Its one of them things ive been scared to try for fooking it up.

Can it be done in a 1 x 1 mtr tent with 8 plants? I got some 2 weeks old in compost I could experiment with.

3 150w cfls or 2 400 hps in a 2 m tent ? i'd want more than that

. You're getting spoon fed ideas. That's not research but to each their own.

Spoon fed is great. Im just a lazy cnut!

Ive already learnt I have to downsize.


But now im going to look at scrog in my tent. Is there a guide you lot know about? Im using the search too dont worry.
