Any one tried one of the new apple mice yet? It looks pretty cool but Apple don't have the best reputation for mice building..... just wondered if it's being over hyped or if it really is the way forward provided you are prepared to cough up the ridiculous 55 notes they want

£55 for a bluetooth mouse is no different to the top Microsoft and Logitech ones, and they're obviously not going for the budget market.

I'm going to wait and see what the initial reports are like, and for them to release the software updates to support the gestures on pre SL systems, but I am tempted.

Cheers for the reply.... is it only SL combatable? I've been reading some crap reviews on the upgrade so I think I will wait a bit longer before jumping down that route

I'd rather buy Greenhouse genetics than buy Apple hardware, especially a peripheral. Get an MS/Logitech/Razer mouse, depending on which one is ergonomically best for you. It's all USB so you're not limited to overpriced, overstyled Apple. Personally I'd advocate a Razer DeathAdder for £30 - blinding kit and kicks ass for gaming.

wired mice are superior to wireless/blue tooth ..if you don't game u probably wont notice ..still id put up with a wire before paying more for inferior gimickery

logitech make the best mice imo ...I use G3 and G5

I'll second that, deathadder is a great piece of kit, and the software is the best I've found wink.gif

Thanks for the comments guys, but I am not looking for a new mouse, I use logitech and microsoft red laser mice and I am happy with them! I was curious about the new Magic Mouse though, if you haven't seen the hype, they have a touch sensitive upper surface, so they are a mouse but they also have some of the touch functions you get on an iphone screen like swipeing in any direction, zooming, 2 finger swiping, etc. I thought it looked pretty clever but using is not the same as buying into the blurb!
