high all. these plants are about 2wks old and I just wanted to know if you guys think they look ok?.
Untill we can find/make a bigger room they are around my mates in a very small space. The plan was to grow em at mine, but that whole EDIT biz put us off doing that for now..
anyhoo they are a 250w hps and in small pots. We just wanted to ask, if we need to save space by keeping one or two in small pots, will they still finish and produce bud? or will they become root bound? and produce nothing.
Assuming its a lucky grow and all four are female, getting just a small amout from one or two would be fine..if it allows us to use bigger pots on the other two.
any help or advice appreciated. thanks

Yeah they look fine. Your plants will still finish and produce bud, but it will be harder to keep them happy in small pots and your yield will obviously be much reduced.

They're stunning for only 2 weeks.
I'm wondering now if my ballasts are allowing the full output from my 250s ...

thanks guys thats good to hear. I tried to get some more pics but for some reason this damn computer wont detect the camera.
anyhoo they are getting bigger and bigger and I'm thinking this might be because 2 of them are male. Although that said one is a feminised seed and it seems to be doing just as well. might just be because they are sativa.
I guess its a bit early to know anything for sure because they are still in veg?. But we think the two plants are male because they both have a couple of small little balls..we were looking at them with a jewellers loop and either side of the top node there are these ball things. They kinda have a club shape. not good hey?
well it looks like its time to invest in some seeds just incase.
How close to your plants do you 250hps users manage to get your lights?.

well after about 20days in veg we put them in flower. this was 2days ago. we have given one away because it looked male almost straight away and for some reason a friend was keen to keep it alive..anyhow we will hopefully have a couple or females out of the 3 remaining plants.
whatever happens though they need bigger pots soon. does anybody know if its harder to pot up at the start of flowering than it is during veg???. The roots are well packed into the pots already but will changing light cycle, nutes, pots etc all in one go cause so much stress they hermie?. If so whats the plan?!

hello m8, you should pot up in veg realy,i potted up a jack hera once about 2weeks in flower with no probs
but always better to have less stress in the flowering period IMO,if you do pot them up give them a couple of
days to recover before you go 12hour,nice looking plants bye the way.

I wouldn't dream of flowering indica doms after less than 6 weeks and 3 pot sizes.

I see it like this: We walk a thin line between over stressing our plants and manipulating them into quality and quantity yielders.
We feed our plants to within an inch of vomitting. We top them, repot them and play God with their light source, air exchange etc etc.
When carrying out a task that induces stress, I try and make it as painless as possible, this includes repotting into final containers during veg. I'm no expert, it just seems logical to me.

they is lookin well good for 22days, you will have no probs with pots or potting up i wouldnt have thought.
your yield is gonna be affected by putting them in flower so early. i am restricted on height but alwys wait about 5 weeks befoe flowering. they may veg out for a bit before showing bud

thanks for all the comments and sorry didnt reply sooner. been a bit ill..but all is jiggy now!
heres a few pics of the plants. out of the 4 there were 2 males. At a guess the 2 remaining females are about 4-5wks old
The leaves are curling on the sativa. Any ideas why the leaves have curled?. Maybe too much nutes early on caused nute lock?
Im not really sure about finishing her tbh. sativas looks hard work, and a longer flowering period?!!
The exile is doing okay though. we put them in bigger pots but she will probly stay small now. anyhow hopefully get a few buds near new years day!!!

Overwatered and underfed. Dry her out a bit and then treat her to a slap up feast
Looks like she's starting to show signs of Mg def mate - I would give her some epsoms with the next watering if you haven't already.
Follow proper wet --> dry cycle of watering (ie. let them almost completely dry out before watering thoroughly) if you're not already.

cheers guys. yeah that sativas been a little abused. I think it started with over doing the nutes and causing lockout. Not added more than a tiny drop of nute for a while so reckon you are right about lacking mg eri.
Tbh Ive never been sure what epsom salts are or where to get them??. Me and a good mate have done a few indicas in the past and never had to use anything more than tomato food and bio bloom..
doing a sativa just feels competely different if ya know what I mean. if it wasnt so close to xmas and all that busy stuff she would probly end up in the bin..
Infact its already time to start trying to decide what seeds to get next. any suggestions appreciated?. Anything under £50 and if possible feminised would be ideal. I know magus genetics are good but how are the slightly cheaper seedsman or ch9 female seeds
anyhoo any ideas appreciated, esp on what the hell epsom salts are

You can get epsom salts from chemists, they are used for foot baths and stuff.
Get a tablespoon of the stuff into a cup, poor some hot water from the kettle, disolve it and then just bung that into your watering can or whatever.
First grow I left it too late and really suffered, so for next two grows i gave em MG after like the 3/4th week of vegging, perfect, don't need to bother at all after that, though some people also give one more MG feed midway through flower too.

yae man they look good, but u need to put them in bigger pots.
You can tell it's an Mg def by the way the veins have gone relatively darker on some of the leaves... ie. the spaces between the veins have become lighter.
I got my epsom salts from a local garden centre for practically nothing. Some people mix it up and spray it, I like to give it to them with their water

spot on eri mate..
yeah zigzag they have just gone into pots that are somewhere between 8-11 litres. its hard to tell the actual size because they have been trimmed down once or twice and the soil wasnt straight out of a 10litre bag..many varieties of left over soils were thrown in
well Just done a google search on the ingredients of epsom salts. basically I nearly threw a bunch of bath salts at her. Luckly the mrs woke up.well kinda lucky I guess..nah just kiddin

<<shes watching me type!!
anyway the mrs put a stop to what would have probly killed the plant off

the sativa got topped the other day because its taking to much room and even lst wouldnt have helped. Theres still a problem that a dose of epsom salts didnt solve. she might get chopped before xmas just to make room for a new grow. any ideas why this plant still looks poorly?

hey all hows it going. if this little biatch was put in the conservatory or in the living room will it stay alive??. and for how long. we dont really want to kill her but the grow space is small and we have just been offered some nice clones. if only it were summer so she could go outdoors.
