Hi guys,

I'm considering just trying to do a single plant SCROG in a 25litre bubbler, do you think this will be big enough, an NFT 205 is only 25 lires right and I know that could handle a plant of this size?

Thanks

I would say it depends on size of plant.
How big is your area???

Papa.

Sorry, I should have said, it's 1.2m by 1.2m (4ft by 4ft).

I would say that 25litre is way too small. A plant this size will have a MASSIVE root structure. It will soon fill a 25litre container and leave little room for nutes in my opinion.

Personally I would go at least 4 times that (bigger rez the better for ph and temp stability.)This is what I use in my similarly sized veg area. (more plants but same principles apply.) 100 litre tubs are cheap from b and q or somewheres.
I have also learned the importance of air supply in bubblers. I use the Great Lucas's guide of 1 watt air pump per gallon (US Gallon= 3.8litres)of nutrient with good quality airstones. I use 4 good aquarium pumps and 8 stones.

Some might consider what I say here as overkill but I have good results and anything is better than waking up to a stinking slimy rootball.Always err on the big side with bubblers I think.Just my opinion.

Hope this is some help and best luck
Papa.

Check some of Jiffas bubbler threads, excellent reading.
