Afternoon spliff.gif 420ers,

Ok, so as it says in the title it's time to take take things up a notch and setup in my Loft ph34r.gif . Happy days!

I have been up there today and there is no isolation what so ever, explains all the cold thats been about recently. cry.gif

I remember a while back reading through some threads about loft insolation and clearly remember afew people saying that the council come and spray it for you cheap, spray or install one or the other.
Anyhoo peeps, i have been searching for a while on here to no avail. Was hoping someone could point me in the right direction or if anyone has any info on it. Weres that thread when you need it aye stoned.gif

Cheers wink.gif

Phone your local council and ask them what initiatives like that they have in the area. Sometimes it's for people on benefits only or in council houses only. But I think theres a few other initiatives, warmth for health or heat for health or something that at least gets landlords and homeowners subsidy on roof insulation.

I hear the big DIY superstore is doing buy on get one free on already reduced insulation and you can even get something like a 10% discount card and you might even get a further discount before a certain date too, half remembered advert sorry unsure.gif

If I had a penny to my name I would be insulating my entire loft and grow and probably my shed too in kingspan or similar thumbsup.gif

Hey there fellow loftie.
I was going to use kingspan myself mate but then found out that if you double-up Aluminium thermal foil (2 for 1 at BnQ at the mo - £20 per roll) its actually better insulation than 50mm kingspan. and it works out cheaper, you dont have to lugg kingspan about, you dont have to cut anything (staple gun is all you need).
