I's soon come to my attention that i'm not going to grow enough to smoke so i've ditched my flower tent(650cmDx1650cmHx1600cm long, it takes 2 lights just to cover the plants. My main questin i that after ripping up the carpet i'v go roofing joists what woulb be the beat covering for this( I'd like to have a whipe down surface so it won't rott the boards. I've thought of tiles that i could beg/borrow but im wondering if there is some type of paint made for this task..

Thanks guys, i'll be cracking to show you all some before a after pics

yeh sort of

the floor is sound though only put it down 6 mnth ago, no piaint prducts out there with out having to re boarded it? as i'm not the fluch

if your painting it (which could cost about £10) you might get water through it and will rot. Black and white you can get for about 1.50 a sq meter so i a lot cheaper/quicker and easier than painting plus a lot easier to clean and non-toxic. Really is the best method mate. Are you having a new tent or building your own space? i just finished building a flower room and covered it inside with b/w and wrks a treat

keeping my old flower tent for veggin and my veggin one for mums

think i'm going to go wi black/white straight on to exising boards(just love those staple guns)

dont even think i'll reboard on wsll just staplel it up - tanks - need som BnW now
drdoom:-)
i would mate (i know what you mean about the staple guns love 'em!)

its a cheap option if youve got tents though you might be ok without - just be careful that the b/w isn't verywhere as it can get a bit slippy

good luck chief

i wouldn't put black and white on the floor, not if its supposed to also be a waterproof barrier, it is refective but its too thin and imo will split sooner rather than later

the same way i wouldn't use mdf as a floor cover in case water got on it as it is one of the least waterproof materials you can get, normal ply would be better imho, something like 15mm

personally, i would use something like pond liner, its not reflective, but you're not gonna get that much relection from down there anyway - s'pose you could also put b&w over the top if you really wanted to, i wouldn't bother

staple guns are great, just remember not to staple the floor if its supposed to be a barrier, better to form a lip at the sides and staple that instead, creating a kind of pool should the worst happen

i've ordered the b/w but all the pots will be sitting in big long trays - sorry about my posts before i'd had a very messy one

pond liner would be good just worried it'd off gas?

Um this is a totally noob question, but what is off gassing ? unsure.gif
2hi2try
gassing off - lol.gif thats having a good rant about somthing - not to be confused with off gassing is when your room gets hot and nasty fumes/gasses are released usualy having devatating results on your girls - vinal/lino is a major cause but so are some treated woods
2hi2try
sorry to bump this but i'm going to garden centre soon and I sort of need to know if pond liner off gasses before i buy a load - all the best 2Hi

Greens do sheeting specifically for floors, thick white stuff. I'd assume that they've checked it for offgassing but no harm in giving them a call first, they're always helpful.
2hi2try
thanks lazi, i'll check it out. I'm going to end up with miles of sheeting now lol.gif

could you do me a link to the floor sheeting please?
lazi
Not sure on the site rules, mentioning Greens is ok afaik, they are/used to be sponsors here.

google Greens Horticulture for the site. Growroom products -> Sheeting -> Floor Secure.

4M wide and £4.25 per linear metre so £21 to cover 4M x 5M.
