Need a bit of help with the math on this one if anyone would be so kind. maths is not a strong point with me sad.gif

I need to know the suface area of the inside of my growbox in meters squared. The dimensions are as follows...

ill make it even easier for ya ph34r.gif i may be getting thermal foil that comes in 7.5m x 600mm rolls which makes 4.5m2 a roll - How amny rolls does that make?

thanks alot

1.68m2

1.25 x 1.35 = 1.68m2

inches: inches x inches divide by 1550 = m2
Feet: ft x ft divide by 11 = m2

It cant be unsure.gif the whole surface area - i think you missed out the walls and roof wink.gif but if was wrong it wouldnt suprise me rofl.gif
that would mean i would only need one roll of foil at 4.5 M2 a roll?

that was floor space only

do the maths you lazy bastard tongue.gif

Mate i wish i could 13.gif but i really cant im afraid sad.gif thanks though wink.gif

PS
Im not lazy...... just a bit thick rofl.gif pinch.gif

13.01m2 roughly

i would allow for over lapping joints for better insulation and seal, so reduce the width to about 550mm.Goodluck with the calculations rofl.gif 2 rolls as a guestimate

Thanks Darkside wink.gif so ill make that 15 M2 and i should be laughing wink.gif thanks again

EDIT - you just made my night mate 18 m2 for 4 rolls at 2 for 1 which makes it £40 yahoo.gif that means ill be able to double it up in places wink.gif

Sorry mate just to clarify.. thats including the roof panels? cheers fella wink.gif

1.85 X 1.35 = 2.4975 (2.5)
0.8 x 1.35 = 1.08 (1.1)
0.9 x 1.35 = 1.215 (1.3)
1.7 x 1.35 = 2.295 (2.3)
1.7 x 1.35 = 2.295 (2.3)
1.25 x 1.35 = 1.6875 (1.7)

and then areas at the top with 4 sides

add the rounded numbers then add 2 extra meter square for the top bits

= 11 m2

so 3 rolls smile.gif (thats for all the walls + floor surface area, i might be wrong im pretty high)

EDIT: correction

is that diagram by Escher? unsure.gif

2 maybe 3 rolls for all walls, you dont really need to do the roof as well, your lamp is gonna be shining most of the light down so why waste foil+light
i only have my foil about 10" above the highest lamp position, waste of time imo although i do take my mylar down to the floor
just the way i do it

i think hes also thinking insulation is paramount due to him buying the duralay stuff ? so only having it so high would be fine for reflection, but not for insulation so maybe thats why hes covering everything ? i could be wrong.
