hello there. this is a very stupid question but i was wandering if anyone knows how to work one of these? as it came with no instructions.

i've tried it with a normal lamp and setting it to 1hour but nothing changed. - didn't want to risk it not working on my proper light.
is there any button i need to press or pull out? and once it is set once will it remain the same for ever?

when i'm setting it do i need to select 18 for 18 hours on? or do i need to select 6 for 6 hours off?

sorry for the stupidity! doh.gif

hi bud...
can't tell from the picture but i take it you lift the clear plastic and you can get to the rotating dial. now when you've done that you will either see a load of little switches running round the outside of the rotating bit or a load of pairs of holes running round it.
the dial represents a 24hr clock. if you have the switch knid the turn on all the switches during the light period you want. if it has lots of little holes then there should be some little pegs somewhere that can fit into them. they are usually coloured grey and white. the white turns the light on the grey turns it off. so if you wanted the light on from 10am to 10pm then put a white one in the 10 and a grey one in the 22... simples...

push all the swithes down on the timer part then lift 6 hours worth up making sure all the switches are properly up or down then just spin the clock bit round to when you wanna start. so basically down for lights on up for lights off i think stoned.gif
