Most experienced growers control the air temperature, setting at around 24-26c. I set mine to 26c using a primair controller.

You should consider getting your temps down though...30 lights on is too hot imo. At around 33/34c and up some of the cannabinoids can be affected (or so I've read) so you want to keep it down. If you can't keep it down make sure you have excellent air transfer, with lots of fresh air circulated through the tent. In the UK heat shouldn't be so much of a problem now, so get a bigger output fan and use active input with another fan to get air in, and temps down. Don't take air straight from outside though if possible because it'll be too cold (and full of nasties) - take it from the room the tent is in.

Summer just gone it peaked at maybe 24oC lights off, 32oC lights on on the odd day. Coldest part of last winter I got as low as 15oC loghts off, lights on temps at their lowest were about 20oC. This is running lights on at night in an small wooden growbox in an outhouse.

I've got a different heating arrangement and new lights this winter so hopefully will keep temps a good 4-5 oC higher than last winter..... unsure.gif

This morning,in my dr 240 with one 600w cool tube running and my extraction turned down pretty low it was 25c but thats because i extract into the attic and have a window open constantly.Lights out it's no lower than 19c because my intake is sucked through an oil filled rad. wink.gif

Hey BP
I have the exact same Temps - do you think the lights off temps affected yield or any other factor - just going into flower now? (sorry if this is considered hijAck!)

Alright donnie,

I do think going down as low as 15oC on a regular basis damaged yield a little and simply made the plants a less healthy overall (more susceptible to LSF, odd nute lock-outs or defs etc). It's important that the rootzone stays reasonably warm all through lights off. This winter I'm attempting to keep to a minimum of 20oC.

cheers Pixie - manged to stop some more draughts in the loft and this has helped me alot - temps are dropping to 15 low but then rise to 20 midday which i can live with. I also have the option of putting the oil rad in the tent when tings get really cold!
