What exactly do they measure? nutes i know but whats EC/CF?

electrical conductivity/conductivity factor, they're basically two ways of quantifying how easily an electrical current can pass through a solution. The PPM is calculated from the ec/cf.

hello guys, if u allready touched this issue i want to ask somethig the Bluelab Trunchons is a real expencive gadjet while u can find a cheper alternatives like this : [ebay link removed] so my question is why spending all that cash on a bluelab trunchons????
i know u may say that the bluelab is a very relible piece of equipment but allso the cheap alternatives can be relible.....

any answer will be more then welcome!!!!

Hi, i bought a blulab a few months ago, im currently on my 2nd grow with it and i love it already. I've skimped on stuff before when trying to save money and usually i dont save money cos i end up having to replace stuff i bought with better stuff. I cant check the link you gave cos its been removed but how would you know what you are buying is reliable? You dont unless you know people who have used it, reading these forums i know everyone whos used a blulab is happy with it so thats reason enough for me to try it. I Paid £50 with delivery for mine brand new, bargain. I know that it will last me years, plus the 5 year guarentee it comes with says alot.

cant go wrong with blulab tbh,

I have a truncheon from when they were called NZ hydro(several years ago) & its still bang on calibration wise...

hey Hipgnosis i'm sry for posting the ebay link i dinent know that its forbiden here..... all i wanted is to show the guys some cheap alternatives and to see what they have to say bout it..... no ofence man!!!
my point is that, can i get the same results without a bluelab meter couse its real expencive for me, i know its good and worth the cash but i just cant afford spending 50 quid's on that.....
