Hi

I am spotting loads of outbreaks of bud rot now my grow is drying out. I have just stripped the buds off the stems in the hope this will reduce the moisture around the buds. I have laid them out on grease proof paper.

Any ideas how I can stop it spreading?

Thank you

Martin

I know, its heart breaking, its not masses but its small outbreaks and quite a few of them. Is it spores that spread it or is it the conditions that bring it on? Can I spread it from one bud to anther by touch?

Should I freeze it all to stem any mould growth?

Where have you got them drying Martin? I usually hang them up in my flower room if there aren't more plants in it and keep the extractor running to keep fresh air flowing...

I think you can bubble the stuff that's rotted (IIRC). In fact, you probably should just bubble the lot and skip trying to dry it...

Hi. Try and cut out the affected bits. The spores can spread. Good idea cutting it off the stems. Just keep a good eye on it. Hope it goes ok.

Eri - They are drying in a downstairs toilet that never gets used, its south facing and gets a little warmer in the day and there is plenty of air exchange.

Hey martin

soz to hear bout the mold fella,,i find the best way dry is cut all ya buds up into smaller pieces,,cut off all moldy bits and chuck em out.then just dry laying on cardboard.

then if they get too dry, sweat em back up in a jar, then lay em out again on the cardboard,,,i wouldnt flash dry em as i find it makes a harsh smoke
