excl.gif Hi everyone, if any one read my post.... is this possible.... the othr day, this post relates to that,
im going to start a new grow soon and ive noticed that many people on here can change their humidity. i.e control it.

so on my next grow i will be using a 4inch intake and 6inch extract. if any one knows what can i buy to control these 2 fans and will i be able to control humidity with it. also ha ha would i have a plug on the end of this controller and would the fans be wired direct to this as a power supply?

if some one can help i would appreciate it alot, many thanks yahoo.gif

if you want a shop bought solution... go for the evolution environmental control system (althought there are i'm sure others available) this will regulate your fans/temps/humidity but costs about £190 so is a touch on the pricey side.
my personal recommendation is for the maplin variac... check the diy section for info on these. depending on how much time you have on your hands and how electrically minded you are, you can build some pretty solid control systems yourself.

The debate continues...

£190 quid is pricey imo....still really don't understand the whole Variac thing...let alone know how to connect to the fans....If anyone out there would like to do a "Dummies Guide for Fan Speed Control on the cheap" I and presumably others would be greatly indebted....!

If you are using 12v fans you can cut into the positive wire and fit a Potentiometer. It should be rated at least 3 Watt, (for fans up to 10Watt), and have a resistance of 20 – 50 Ohms.
